Pretty damn tough to get it to swim upright and straight. He says weightless but you’ll need to experiment using the right weight (or nail weight) and retrieve speed.

I use a light nail weight angled in the belly with a wide gap screw lock 2/0 hook (side hook) and it swims right. Also try it with a simple drop shot hook and weight about 9" (been awesome in cold months; morning hour)

yes, it swims like it's dead. Lays on its side and looks dumb. I was caught up by all the YT vids on this so I ordered each size. They all three look like crap in real life. Berkley has caught more fishermen than fish with this bait.

Recent winter success: try simple drop shot (2/0) about 9" and work slow like a t-rig worm. Been HOT in first hour of am. It flops around like a dying (sunfish) and I get massive hits.

Honestly its extremely hard to get to swim straight i found using the inline rig is the best way but I don't use the Berkeley Gilly much because of how hard it is to get to swim straight

Seeing it in water with a bladed jig I feel like pulling the skirt off would be the best choice. Want to see the 90 on the mini or micro whatever chatterbait that came out around the same time. Used it with the new small size Yamato swim bait that that has similar profile and got a few really good bass for my area. Going to try pulling skirt off in general for this profile. Looks like It was already drug through weeds with the skirt. Also how are they not getting sued?

Hey Berkley make this bait , same profile , same but in a topwater type perch with the double hook , when those perch are sucking underneath Lillie’s , I think this bait would smash em , but in a topwater bait

Side rig it with a light nail weight in the belly/angled. It swims right; however, trying as a simple drop shot has been MONEY first hour in ams. Work it like a slow worm so it flops around like a dying (sunfish 90 for me).
