Gee, this was one place I had no time to visit on a trip through Nevada. I stayed in Tonopah, then off to Ely. I love these remote places, living in a tiny settlement of 130 myself it feels like home to me. (p.s. the cactus in your clip is ‘pediocactus simpsonii’). Thanks Doug for bringing back great memories!!

Excellent horticultural identification, but I would expect no less from the "Cactus Wrangler"! I'll have to spot some more so an expert like yourself can identify them for us all.

After at least 40 years of study I would hope I’m accurate…..it’s a deal, bring it on, Nevada has some rare ‘native’ guys…… you need to look for the elusive ‘grusonia pulchella’, a sheer beauty of the Nevada desert landscape….amongst others?

Well my Brother, that does it, your channel is now # 1 on my list! This was so much fun! I'm still laughing at what you "found" in the mine 😂 🎆 ! I read your reply to Rhonda, don't worry, I love wildflowers also, it's good you show and name them in your videos, very interesting. I can't wait until Tuesday! Have a good Memorial day weekend Brother! 🇺🇸

Thank you my Brother! I think you and Rhonda are tied for being my #1 fans! Which is Great! You have a good Memorial day too Dick. It will be tricky finding a good overnite spot, the motels in Bishop expensive this weekend, so probably boondock on the outskirts....no telling what kind of adventure I get myself into. The cave explosions were from the El Capitan Casino roof in Hawthorne for Armed Forces Day, so it is only one block from house, so good photo clip. Thank you for the continued support Brother!

Hi Cali- Dreamin'! It is on state property, so that's why I'm not moving onto it as a squatter.

Personally, I can't imagine living in an area where there is not one single, store, or diversion. I am glad that it works for some people.🌞💛 🏜 This was very interesting, and enjoyable from beginning to end. Thank you, so much, Doug and Kellie, for being our guides.🌈☀️🤠

Hi Rhonda! I will tell Kellie about your compliment. I will stop in at the Museum in town on my way to Safeway. I am stocking up for a short trip: Bishop Mule Days. Next vid comes out Tuesday, it's already, about Bridgeport biking and prospecting by hot springs with tons of scenery and flowers for you and the ladies. Wish me well with the mules! Have a great weekend coming up!
