RAW = Friedrichshain not Kreuzberg Badeschiff = Alt-Treptow not Kreuzberg ;)
@ChasingEverywhere6 жыл бұрын
Whoops thanks for the help! I got the neighborhoods confused while there.
@tydalm.96656 жыл бұрын
Well tbh the Badeschiff is only a few meters away from Kreuzberg. However Kreuzberg was in West-Berlin and Treptow in the east. But "RAW" is actually not pronounced like the English word "raw". It's an acronym (Reichsbahn-Ausbesserungs-Werk). The area was used to repair trains back in the days, that's where it's name comes from.
@NonymAn06 жыл бұрын
Moment mal! Das Badeschiff müsste gerade noch in Kreuzberg sein! Die Statue in der Spree zeigt ja an, wo die Grenzen sich treffen
@ChasingEverywhere6 жыл бұрын
So I was right? Woo! Haha honestly I do really appreciate the guidance as its easy for me and other travelers to get the different neighborhoods confused but I would like to be correct.
@tydalm.96656 жыл бұрын
-> www.google.de/maps/place/Kreuzberg,+Berlin/@52.4959099,13.4502037,16.5z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x47a84e4be6bf37cf:0xd304c3ba1db9016c!8m2!3d52.4986049!4d13.3917987 Sorry Chasing Everywhere "Knapp daneben ist auch vorbei", how we say in German ;)

That's absolutly not in a bad meaning I think it's pretty hard to know Berlin if your not from here... I mean by now we have more "Berliner" but there not. No one talks in the old Berlin German slang with me no more I just hear English Spanish or any other languages. Thats pretty sad! Gess I needa wait until Berlin ist not anymore "cool"
@ChasingEverywhere6 жыл бұрын
I really do appreciate the feedback, especially from a local. To the rest of the world these places are unique and interesting, they aren't the wall, the jewish memorial, check point charlie..all the really really touristy things. They're slightly off the grid but I understand as a local you don't think they represent your city. I do my best to provide content to a broader audience (mostly including people who haven't been and don't know the places I cover). If you want to share any insight into some really cool, not "hipster tourism life shit" places in Berlin, I'll be back this summer and would be so down to make another video.

I’ll should probably let you know ... it’s round about 250.000 EUROS fine flying the Drone over Berlin. There’s not even a way to get a permit unless you produce a TV Show or Movie. It’s a very strickt no fly zone.. and they can fine you 10 years down the road. And by the way.. not a single secret spot.

The title and info are misleading in this video. The locations are not pronounced right, the historical facts are wrong (eg. the original dome of the Reichstag building was burned down before the bombing of Berlin (Hitler accused the Communist party...etc etc) and all these locations are major tourist attractions.....
@markshulman31506 жыл бұрын
lmao RAW is very touristy. It's in Friedrichshain and it's basically the center. If you want a REAL local flea market, I would suggest Leopoldplatz - pretty cheap and very local)
