That was amazing, will be watching this several times. Loved the detailed script you wrote for the audio, the single use of one word in entire video, "dammit" was spectacular. Loved it. I'm starting my hunt for a Bellingo is there a particular model, engine etc I should go for, don't know much about them. How old is yours, I was thinking upto around £6k.

Hi ! Does all Berlingo year models have the opportunity to fold down the front seats? Great video.

I don’t think the early models can. Mine is a mk2. 17plate.

Mine is a 2004, and I had to replace the front passenger seat with a front seat from a Berlingo van! Now I can fold the seat down, and sleep on it (with the removable part of the bed frame/rest in place). Be creative, maybe You can make something wonderful with Your van, so it fits Your lifestyle and needs…

Late to the party, so no idea if anyone's watching, but... This is just about the most useful video I've found for my purposes: Having just bought a 2014 multispace, I'm waiting (impatiently) for it to be mot'd & serviced & spending time thinking about & planning the conversion. Like you, I won't make any permanent fixings to the interior affording maximum versatility: I'm an amateur photographer 'specialising' in surfing, action & nature; but I need to carry an Ebike to get to beach/clifftop locations & the multispace is the smallest host vehicle to take the bike without removing the front wheel - It'll ride slap in the centre, with 15" storage either side (one of which will slide accross to make a 2'6"" bed with the bike outside, under a cover & locked to the car (probably the front towing eye). So you can see I'll be doing a lot of 'suck it & see', but your vid has so many innovations I'll be able to adapt. Thanks

Do you have a video of putting the base floor down please? Great video by the way where did you get the cushions and is there a plan for the hardboard sizes/ shapes?
@LeesImages
@LeesImages 9 ай бұрын
hi, sorry no video of the base floor. it is 12mm plywood, I removed the original tie down loops and used 8mm bolts to bolt it where the tie down loops where. it was hard to judge where to drill the holes and took many attempts to get it right. The cushions can from Reborn info@reborn-products.com reborn-products.com/caravan-campervan-narrowboat-mattresses/ these are the sizes I got them to make in the charcoal material I wish I had gone for 4 inch though. 2 @ 28 x 59cm @ 3" thick Naples Charcoal 4 @ 59 x 65cm @ 3" thick Naples Charcoal 2 @ 51 x 65cm @ 3" thick Naples Chacoal Total Price £212.30. there are no plans, mainly because I think it could be better. I have only used it as a single a few times and as a double for two weekends.

Hi is that an original drivers seat or is it a modified passenger seat? Been struggling to find out which models have this feature. Hoping to see if the L2 crew cab seats are able to do this as well for an extra bit of space at the back.

Hi, it is factory fitted, I’m not sure which models have this. Mine is a 2017 Citroen berlingo Multispace flair

Having watched a great number of conversions, this to me is the best. I have not seen any other that incorporate the front seats. I was thinking it must be impossible until I watched this. I would like to copy your design but i have a few questions. I would like to know: What size ply did you use? How did you attach the ply floor ? Could the central rear seat have remained in place? I am guessing that you intended to have a solo bed and thought the extra floor space would be useful. Then subsequently added the second bed? Is this why the drivers side is bigger? Have you made any modifications since the first build?eg. Ventilation holes in the ply? This is just what I could do with. Would you consider making it for others? Thanks for any information, from you Lee or anybody else who has followed this idea.

I used 12mm plywood, I removed the original tie down loops and used 8mm bolts to bolt it where the tie down loops where. it was hard to judge where to drill the holes and took many attempts to get it right. the central chair could be left in, but mine has a plastic back with cup holders and gets it the way. I removed the back, and intend to make a plywood replacement, just have not got around to it. Yes that is exactly what happened, was just a single bed for me when I go out doing my Astrophotography. But then my wife said where will I sleep, so made the drivers side. I haven’t made any changes, ventilation holes should be on my list. But I am working on a different design, I don’t know if it is going to work. I wanted the seats as far forward as I can, so I can come and go from the side doors with plenty of space in the back end and use it more like a day van. I can use both designs depending what I am doing. keep an eye out, one day I may post a video of the new design, now that the better weather is coming and I can get out and start building.

Thanks Lee for the additional info. I assume that leaving the 12mm ply x2 upright behind the seat does not prevent the rear seats locking in position? I am going to have a go at replicating it. No doubt I will finish and you will show us your latest version! Thanks once again.

I have taken a few photos and measurements that may help you get started. If you email me on email.leeharrison@googlemail.com I can send them to you. I don’t monitor that address so just post here that you have sent me an email. the seats do lock in position, there is plenty of room behind them for the plywood to fold up. I would definitely make the passenger side go halfway across the car in width. mine is a bit narrow, not much room to move about and get comfy. if you do send me an email, I will be happy to give advise to help with your build.
