Fascinating - I do not think this level of detail, explaining construction and adaptation of the last to the foot and the shoe wearer’s preferences, has ever been done on social media before.

I'm really more of a London guy, as far as style goes, but there is no denying that the French are the kings of luxury. I love that box.

Not only are the shoes fantastic but the trees and boxes are works of art as well. Great to see so many young people are working there, I'm sure they will serve Berluti well for decades to come. Was anyone else nervous when they were using that huge knife, especially that young apprentice, it looked a little too close to her for comfort.

Beautiful meditation on a magnificent creative process. The culmination of all the invested hours of labor and years of skill refinement and knowledge reverberates effortlessly in unique ways through every component of each pair of shoes created.

Love these bespoke processes! I hope to see similar on your trip to Cuba sir! I do wonder if any of these bespoke cobblers do a cast of your feet and create the wood last to match the cast. Is that just redundant and impractical?

So you make the Last, then you make a sample or two? If the sample requires modification, do you modify the last? If so, How do you add material to the last?
