Having 2 guns would traditionally be part of a driven game day where "The Gun" would shoot with gun no.1 and then pass it to his Loader, who would hand him gun no.2 loaded for the next bird, then unload and reload gun no.1.This continues for the duration of the drive. This is known as "Double Gunning" and it's very tricky so a good Loader is very valuable

It's criminal how few views this series has. Americans can learn quite a lot from countries that have a lot of history and culture.

I love Marinella. The Milan shop is also worth a visit. Highly recommended. Their archives are full of absolute gems.

As someone who speaks a little Italian and is still learning it is greatly appreciated that Maurizio makes a point to speak loudly and clearly without much dialect. He is very easy to understand! Would have loved if Kirby didn't say "Marinellow" all the time. 😉
@kirbyallison6 сағат бұрын
Watching Maurizio work the shop was like watching theater... he is incredible. I can't think of another shopkeeper that I've ever seen so graceful and fluid in their craft.

Kirby, great videos always. I just really dislike the back of the tie being longer than the front. You goo through all this effort to have a bespoke suit fit perfect and To me it looks like you forgot to get the right length of tie, like a child borrowing their fathers tie that's too big.
@kirbyallison6 сағат бұрын
haha. I know. I need to have all my ties recut now that I'm wearing high-waisted trousers. I've already sent some back. But I need to go through the rest of my closet. Drives me crazy, also.

@kirbyallison Actually u can make a different knot,one more elaborate that consume more length, and u solve partially the problem.

Good video. I have a few Marinella ties, but need more. I do have a question, why is the tail of your tie sticking out the bottom? It that a new trend? I have always made sure the tail is completely covered.

No... the answer is that the ties are cut for a more "American" low-waisted trouser, vs the high-waisted ones I wear. So, in order for the large blade to not be half-way down my crotch, the back blade is longer. I need to have my ties recut shorter. Going to work on this this weekend...

I’m assuming Kirby’s editors are editing out the parts where his translator is translating for him. I’d guess to make the conversation sound more seamless and fluid rather than a repetitive back and forth between the 3 of them.

bingo. Filming in dual language is actually quite difficult. And editing it is even moreso.

My two cents: the jacket is boring and 1/2" to 1" too short. The black shoes are beautiful but boring considering the other shoes Mr. Allison has. His wardrobe is too monotone.

Phenomenal video Kirby but was is even more impressive is that you were able to build the trust needed in these relationships to get these three iconic gentlemen in the same room to spend time educating us all about shoes & suits. It's quite impressive how you have been given access into these two iconic businesses. It speaks volumes to your talent, abilities, authenticity to build trust in relationship that they would even give you the time of day. Congratulations. We are all grateful!

Please stop the multiple camera angles while you are presenting. Obviously the multiple angles are needed for the shoe presentation. But not as a presenter. My opinion. Sheesh. You have *great* content. The strange camera gimmick is just distracting.

This is my shine bible, have to revisit it every few tears when it’s time for a larger overhaul/shine. My question, which is probably obvious is if you;re using the chamois pretty much once only? Each side and the middle so I guess 3-4 shines in each chamois? And love the channel, always inspiring.
