My mother who was born in Lambeth in London England in 1921 used to attend the Time and Talents Association in Bermondsey - mainly the one in Bermondsey Street close to London Bridge; she loved it there; she told me about it and about a camping trip she went on as a Brownie to Battle in East Sussex; she said those times were perfect - even if she and her family lived in poverty in the Victorian slums close to London Bridge.
