i was on a camping trip from tuesday to thursday and i kept singing this song. when i got home, i was thinking to look it up, but never did so. i woke up this morning to this tutorial, almost like magic. thank you so much! i’m also only 12 and in grade six, but this song is one of my favourites, as is a lot of 80-90s music

Betul Hi! Make sure you cut your fingernails so that it is easier to play with the tips of your fingers. Try to curve your fingers as much as possible to avoid any buzzing. Are you applying enough pressure as well? You could also reposition your thumb so that chords are easier to reach. If none of these tips work it could be that your action of your ukulele is a little too high.
