Great discussions! Bernard makes some important points which i agree with; a state of the nation is where we are in relation to where we want to be, given where we are coming from. There is room for some level of comparison but it is not the forum for stating what a gov has done in comparison with another and therefore to state 'you are better'. Richard sky makes some flawed arguments regarding this point in addition to stating the gov lost seats previously due to its fight on galamsay. As Bernard stated - correlation is not causation. It begs the question as to why the party of the gov did not do well this time round in these areas, since it literally abandoned the galamsay fight in the last 4yrs?
