Can't help but point out the obvious: Big B's Barbershop

I do love this series but it always worries me when you get stressed out by the maths side of the game. I'm really glad that the audience support has helped and you seemed so much cheerier this episode ^_^

One of the issues with your importing scheme is that you're importing to your warehouse every 7 days, but you're delivering to your stores every night. So you need to import a week's worth of goods for your stores. That's why I always set up to import every day - you only need to import twice as much as what you're delivering. The cost won't be terribly expensive, and you won't ever run out of goods in your warehouse. If you set up to import every day and you don't meet the minimum amount, the import won't happen. But since your warehouse stock is fairly low, the next day's import will occur.

As a former teacher, I was so proud when you perfectly described how to calculate the stock level to keep at the store. You then followed up with 50*2*2=100, lol. Incidentally, I did recommend 800 gifts at the store as that's double the 400 you have space for on your shelves, though 600 is probably enough. Note that the numbers I gave you originally were so that you weren't getting warnings either. Nonetheless, the important thing is that you're definitely getting the hang of it as the way you were thinking through and troubleshooting the alerts was right on the money and the changes you made to address them were correct. It may take a bit more trial and error to find the sweet spots, but you're doing all the right things now. Looking at the comments to increase imports to daily and not worry if one gets cancelled because you didn't meet the minimum cost, there's one situation that isn't mentioned which is that the order being cancelled includes an item that you have run out of. In that case, you're now waiting an extra day (or possibly longer) before you can get it back in stock. Daily works well if you keep enough stock at the warehouse to cover for multiple days (which you ultimately should do), but where your running thin margins right now, its probably better to order on a schedule that guarantees you'll spend enough for the order to come through. With your current volume, every 3 days should be fine, but I wouldn't switch to daily unless you significantly increase the amount of stock kept at the warehouse. And just for reference, I'm currently running ~35 retail businesses out of 3 warehouses with a daily income of ~500k, and all of my deliveries are still on a 3 day schedule. At the end of the day though, the import schedule is players choice really, you just have to be sure you have enough in the warehouse to cover your needs between deliveries. I also originally suggested weekly so that you didn't have to calculate the average daily sales of each product given that the game tells you what your weekly sales are, so trying to save you a bit of math there. Anyway, still enjoying the series and glad to see you starting to get ahead in it.

Your Purchasing Agent should buy every day rather than every 7 days. You won't need to buy as much stock each time, and you're less likely to run out of stock in the warehouse. If you're going to set up a hairdressers, you'll need to have your headhunters find a LOT of people. If you want a shop that serves 40 people per hour (which is ideal for a hairdresser), you'll need 10 Hairdresser Chairs and 6 Hairdresser Head Wash units. That's 16 Hairdressers per shift, and it's worth putting 2 shifts in because peak hours are from 10am to 10pm 7 days a week (32 hairdressers). You'll also need 2 cash registers (the checkout counter won't work in a hairdresser) so 2 Customer Service people per shift too (4 Customer Service people total). Technically, you could get away with 8 Hairdresser Chairs and 4 Hairdresser Head Wash units, but I find if you do that you'll have customers complaining that they can't get served. You won't need too many Storage Shelves because you'll only store hair care products and paper bags there, but I find I go through a LOT of hair care product there every day, so have at least 3 storage shelves and store at least 40 boxes of hair care product (1,600 units) each day. Depending on how popular the store is, you might need more than that. The easy way to set the store up is to use the Interior Designer. You might have to take out Big B's Big Loan from Vantander Bank to pay for it, but it makes things so much easier. And the income from the store will quickly pay for the loan anyway. Going to a nightclub at the moment isn't all that exciting. Going to the casino is a little better since you can win some money, but you're absolutely correct that the social side of this game is really lacking for now. Also, I found a problem with the HQ that I hope is a bug rather than intended design. When you move a person to another desk, they seem to forget what they were doing. I had two of my Purchasing Agents come up with new requests, and I created two desks specifically for their requirements. I then moved them to those desks using the scheduler. This happened on a Friday afternoon. That night, the purchases they were supposed to make didn't happen and when I checked, they not only forgot their puchase orders, they also forgot about the importer they had an arrangement to buy from. This was VERY bad, because I couldn't set up the purchasing agreements again until the following Monday. The net result was that several stores completely ran out of goods to sell. HR staff also forgot who they were looking after when I moved them. I found this extremely frustrating and I hope it gets fixed very soon.

The marketing efficiency depends on the size of the busines, those large 1000m3 places are gonna take a lot of marketing to get the promotion to 100%, while the smaller ones don't need as much. Also, if the promotion get to 100% there is no point getting more marketing even if the marketing bar is lower than 100%. The promotion bar is a combination of marketing and traffic index, promotion is the one you want high. (Some locations are impossible to get to 100% due to low traffic index, anything above 80% is quite good tho)

If you're wondering if your prices are too high, just look at the insight tab and check the pricing score. The lawyers were sitting at 11% before you dropped the price. The HQ don't need a cleaner. Just give every desk a tablet with screen and you'll be able to hire anyone. It's the same thing with equpment as the insurance, they will always accept something better. If they ask for a tablet they will accept a tablet with screen, if they ask for a office chair they will accept a multipurpose chair and so on.

The graphic designers need more employees to deal with the extra customers, the price at 120-130 was probably fine. Also as with the lawyers, the capacity is how many you can have at work at any given time, so double the capacity and setup morning and evening shifts to take full potential of the marketing. 8am - 8pm split into 2 shifts usually work fine.

If you had your own grocery you wouldn’t have to pay extra for your food and if you use that huge new location you would have enough room to have a hot food deli inside that serves kabobs, burgers etc. with like 3-4 tables maybe.
@DonGorgen3 ай бұрын
You're still "paying" for the food in your own supermarket. You paid to have it imported and anything you take is something you can't sell at full price, so in the end you're paying whatever price you set.

Nothing to do during the day? Why not buy spend some time buying and installing stuff, like a Cleaning Station for your Graphic Designers, cabinets to put your coffee machines on or possibly more desk setups for your offices ... You'll need 'em sooner or later. Or what about visiting a few Hairdressers or Take Away Food stores to see how your rivals have set them up. They're Retail businesses so you can enter them. Cleaning is important especially if you hire anyone who wants a clean working environment. My cleaners work the same hours as other employees. If they start before the business open, that means that the business is only really clean when it opens. Imagine what they're like after 6 hours or so. Cheers.

Your own Billboard company can't design your own billboards? That's daft. Discover and contact your Big B's Bouffant stockists and suppliers BEFORE spending any money on rent and headhunt any potential staff early. Get everything you need parked outside the front door. Then rent Interior Design Staff in Open up by 10am Love the series, Penge Wait.... Did you say this is the DEMO???
@mbncd3 ай бұрын
It isn't a demo but it is early access. Early access still need more things and systems added to them before they're ready for full release, and they're much more likely to have bugs, some of which may be very serious and even game breaking.
