@@Red_Dead_Entertainment You can definitely increase your win rate and overall profitability if you use fundamentals combined with your existing technical strategy. You need to trade against the retail sentiment and preferably with a strong opposite trend for institutional money. Also interest rates etc. The more things align the higher your win rate and overall profitability is from my experience. To your point, I am aware of a strategy that is solely based on technical analysis and simple indicators like the ADR and it does work quite well but with lower win rates and overall profitability. @@berndskorupinski yes, you are truly showing the fruits of your labour. The market is like Pac-Man on the lower time frames, with the all the whipsawing eating stops and fuelling the urge to overtrade, a very dangerous place to be. It’s better to trade almost like an investor so to speak and only look at opportunities where the market is certain to turn in your direction, however still using calculated position sizing. Lastly, what I will say is, people want to strategise only in the technicals and think the answers is laying there, they would never think of being more strategic with their leverage and position sizing, investors do this well.

I am 3 weeks into my trading journey and uncovered 2 fundamental concepts thus far: 1. KZbin is full of noise about trading, and its difficult to know what noise is worth listening to|| 2. Scalping is very hard: I have been up $1200 and down $1200 in the same hour. I have also made $2000 one day, and lost $2000 the next day. You are spot on about the stress level
@berndskorupinski8 ай бұрын
1. KZbin is not the place where you get proper trading education. 2. Scalping sucks. Stop it.

@@berndskorupinski I wanted to share with you I had (3) winning trades today, thanks to your guidance on your videos. I trade the DOW, S&P and Oil Futures, on the 1 hour timeframe, using a 1:1 risk/reward ratio, using 2% of my account value, going short. I took my time, evaluated the setups, marked the support and resistance zones and trend patterns, and executed. Each trade lasted about 2 hours, and all (3) were winners. Today felt like the first time I traded "properly" Thank you Bernd!

I wanted to trade the 5m so I wouldn't have to wait "so long" to know the results. The results came soon but weren't good 😅. I would have stopped trading after a set time so not to spend all day at the charts. Easier said than done, it becomes addictive (I'm not easily addicted!) and whenever you have time you'll want to trade. Thank goodness my child was born so I had no time for the 5m anymore, especially as your videos weren't around to save me!

For me I have tried and I know 1 min 5 min price action is mostly rubbish on its own. Only higher time frames rules. Either from a swing or day trade in order to profit is still looking at the higher time frames. Less stress less effort to keep looking at the charts is great.

Swing trading is not easier than scalping, nor is it any harder. Becoming profitable trading requires you to understand and find your edge and stick with your strategy in a very unforgiving, and un emotional mindset. Also, prices fractal, so what happens on these larger time frames happens on the smaller time frames… Don’t believe me? Go to a lower time frame and ask someone without showing them what timeframe it is and see if they can tell the difference between a daily or a one minute. You’ll see there is very little difference. It’s lifestyle preference IMO. If you can’t trade during a specific kill zone, when volume is high, or gives you the edge, then you can just set up for swing trading. Just wanted to share my insight on it as someone who has been trading 7 yrs and trades with both trading methods professionally using one strategy. Keep it simple and find your edge. 🤟

Just wondering do you have any certificates that back up your scalping and in general trading claims?

two other issues are that market manipulations hit scalpers way more often than it does hit swing traders. prices can be easily manipulated for 5 minutes but it requires more effort to do it over weeks. slippage can also affect scalpers way more, pushing the stop farther than originally intended (basically you have extra risk on every SL you set) scalpers also have a talent to position themselves against larger timeframes participants.
