All of a sudden, these are on sale at an amazing price. Heck yeah I'll buy one for $999 instead of 1,999. Most quality new machines are crazy expensive, I've had cars that didn't cost as much as some of these machines! Dating myself there, but oh well! My Pfaff is over 20 years old, and still doing fine, but to get this machine as a backup, or everyday machine, is something I'm excited about. I hope it lives up to the Bernina quality! I'll say this, my Pfaff is like a Mercedes compared to a White machine I have. I will use the White for some sewing, just because it's there, and it's all right, but not as smooth as the Pfaff by any means. Thank you for your video!

It would be nice to see the stitches that you might use to quilt with. I saw there was a stippling stitch, but no "S" stitch. For someone who hasn't really quilted anything yet, but made lots of tops....I would like to learn which ones might get me help me along to quilting something other that a straight stitch only. I really want an "S" stitch, which this doesn't come with....but stippling might be a good feature without having to do it myself free motion, which I am not very good at nor patient with. So basically, I am looking for stitches that help me quilt but sort of cheat at it.

This machine comes with lots of decorative stitches, but it sounds like you're wanting full computerized quilting. You'd want to look at the b79 which has embroidery, and then you could quilt in the hoop. All free motion on the b77 will be handguided using the straight stitch. How does one get this dual foot back up again?

There's a black bar at the back that you push down to engage it with the foot for dual feed and push out and up to disengage :-)
