I'm not sure you understand the deeper reasons why Bernie will introduce legislation to cap credit card interest rates at 10 percent and lower funding to the military industrial complex. It's also to bring awareness to the possibility of pushing for -- and finally enacting -- such legislation. That is the MOST important angle to Bernie's tactical reasons for introducing legislation that most Americans actually want. Remember when the word "socialist" was a dirty word, never to be uttered in polite capitalist society? Well, Bernie changed that perception for a significant percent of the population. Bernie is a cultural change agent and educator as well as a successful and moral U.S. Senator. Have you seen any politician talk about lowering interest rates on credit card balances? Many credit card banks have sent out notices recently that they are raising their interest rates to 35 percent. as of Jan. 1, 2025. Bernie will bring this discussion front and center. That's what he is doing. Bravo to Bernie!

I understand Stewart and Sanders' strategy. They are aware that the right's promises are empty, so they seek DOCUMENTATION. By introducing legislation grounded in Republican pledges, which Republicans subsequently oppose, they accumulate ammunition (arguments) that will be effective in future elections. Perhaps that will work My concern is that Republicans will conceal provisions that Democrats support WITHIN legislation laden with items they CANNOT endorse. Consequently, Republicans could then point out to voters that Democrats, despite claiming to support certain measures, voted against the legislation containing those very provisions. (Since they have both the Senate, the House AND the Presidency, they can INITIATE a lot of shady legislative "moves" that Democrats are forced to RESPOND to) And the voters aren't sofisticated enough to see what's going on and any explanation from Democrats is going to be seen as "excuses" But we'll see, yeah?

Kennedy will take food manufacturers to task and try to get them to go more natural. He is a true believer in that. The problem is high quality natural food is usually expensive and the majority will have trouble paying for it. Preservatives keep foods stable on shelves longer with less wastage and pesticides and fertilizer increase crop yields making food cheaper. There's no simple solution. The other issue is you can't embarrass Republicams. You can "own" them all day long and they don't care as long as they get what they want in the end. Their base doesn't care either.

I'm not sure, but I don't think there's any proof fluoride is helpful. The stats just don't prove it. Some places have taken it out with no problems. Myself, my ex, and my kids have only drank pure distilled water our whole lives and we have perfect health. There's even some arguments to me made that fluoride is very damaging and it was shortsighted to think drinking it will help teeth. Most of it goes to the stomach, and doesn't really stay on teeth. If kids brush their teeth properly twice per day that is the big issue. My fam, we don't even use conventional toothpaste, we use all natural non-fluorided toothpaste with herbs from India like neem and aloe. Very good for the gums and teeth. Calcium supplements help the bones and teeth and nails. Fluoride is ridiculous and basically the most toxic chemical to humans.

Kyle’s is 100% right - call them out and bait them, but don’t try to play along and think they will accept your “gotcha”. The way to play to this is to play hard, be incalcitrant.
