Bernie was the first famous person I cried for when he passed away. It really hit me hard, I grew up with the Mac. Love his tough comedy & his straight face when telling a joke. Handsome Intelligent man. Truly felt sorry for his wife, she was with him through it all. ❤️

Bernie’s analysis and dissection of his inspirations and how humble he is when he says that his fans made him and he didn’t want to alienate them when developing his show. This guy was a legend, truly a master of his craft. Rip Bernie.

The question was about Cosby, yes, but Mac went on to say he "seen a lot of comedians say one thing and do another". He didn't run in the same circles as Cosby but he toured with Harvey. Harvey preached over and over about treating women right and at the same time he was cheating on her.

Things were different then. People didn’t try to tip toe around words. They said what they meant. Just like Bernie saying that he can’t call a little kid on his show a faggot. Even saying that would not fly today, even though he was explaining the difference between his stand up and his tv show in context. People are really sensitive about language today compared to back then. We are devolving as a culture.

The interviewer comes across like the type of white person who look at black people like they are some kind of lab specimen. Whites have been like that for years in America.

He was one of my favs - so smart & talented, and a good soul to boot. He was pretty honest there about Cosby - mentioning 'people' who say don't do drugs, & treat women right, but they're LIARS. Good on you Bernie.

This interview reminds me of how Michael Jackson used styles and nuances from performers as early as the silent era and mixed imagery from The Renaissance and sci-fi to create his image. Bernie Mac is the Michael Jackson of comedy studying the Marx brothers and Jack Benny, etc.

Damn, I cannot believe he is gone. He is a legend. I had to add that this man is a true genius and he breaks it down like it is so simple, but he truly had a gift on top of the motivation that made him so great. He obviously heard things about Cosby before it got out to everyone. Bernie was a good man and he was good to his wife. He is a model of how men should be-white or black.

2004 was such a great year (to me) best year of my childhood. Going to my godmothers house, playing video games, then watching the Bernie Mac show. Who could forget the Super Bowl in 2004 (Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson) 😂😂 and also, I live in NC so that was the first time I could remember as a kid rooting for my home team (Panthers) man oh man. I’ll never forget that year, and Bernie Mac.

@@humansavages832 It's not a baseless assumption though. Bernie literally mentions comedians talking about *how to treat women* and then them doing the opposite, in the context of Cosby. I mean...how much more do you need? Bernie was most likely just trying to keep it classy and not gossip and get messy with another man's legacy considering he himself was a church guy who recognized everyone as sinners. Calling Cosby out directly doesnt seem like something in his lane.

The Mac had pretty teeth. I recall when he'd clown on the El Train in the 80 s. He started coming on this local show in the 90 s with Pervis Spann a DJ and the late Carl Wright called Blues and More. Then he BLEW UP. Always happy for him. RIP

Yasha Jackson and not only that but it felt like he tried to milk things that made him famous too much, like how does that act where he pauses between each words or does his panic gag too much where he over reacts to a situation and such, it was like how George Lopez use to always do the same gag of him slapping the mic all the time or how Carlos Mencia use to make those dumb noises like "dee de dee" or act like such an energetic spaz
