That's the difference between someone who is president to enrich himself, and someone who actually wants to help America. BERNIE 2020!
@nigelhanson125 жыл бұрын
No, it's the difference between an individual who recognizes the principles and values that made a America the prosperous nation it is, and another individual who has no regard whatsoever for history or Americas foundational principles. The Democrats are the ones who tend to insist on regulating the hell out of everything. This in turn raises the barrier to entry and catalyzes the growth of monopolistic behavior that Bernie hates so much.
@JabberCT5 жыл бұрын
@@nigelhanson12 - I don't know what you are trying to say. Trump didn't enrich himself by giving 2 trillion in free tax handouts to the wealthy? Trump isn't the one shitting all over the very 1st amendment and trying to stifle the free press? Trump isn't dismantling Obamacare with no replacement in sight? You're going to have to explain it better.
@nigelhanson125 жыл бұрын
@@JabberCT The "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" reduced taxes for every tax bracket. The Wealthiest had their taxes cut by 2.6%, the lower class had their already low taxes cut by 3% and 4%. Those tax reductions keep more raw capital in the economy and allow for sustained economic growth. Trump is not shitting on the first amendment, nor is he trying to stifle the press. He just doesn't like them and calls them on their BS. They have a right to say whatever they like and they exercise that right. He also has a right to say that he thinks they are full of crap and are placing their own ratings over the best interest of the United States as a whole. The Obama administration is known verifiably to have repeatedly tapped the phones of Fox reporters and used intimidation tactics (like declaring them a criminal co-conspirator and declaring them a flight risk to an investigation which bars them from leaving the country) to punish them for daring to publish leaked information. Any time CNN or the Washington Post gets their hands on leaked documents they immediately publish them and they receive no personal rebuke whatsoever. Yes he is trying to destroy the PPACA and I commend him for doing it. While it would have been ideal to have an adult discussion on healthcare costs, the Obama administration thought it was better to lie to the American people and force this bill down the throats of the American people. (with not a single republican voting in favor and 34 Democrats voting against it as well) The results of the bill have been catastrophic for the American healthcare system. Premiums are up across the board, competition in the insurance market has been utterly annihilated leaving many states with only one insurer who has free reign to charge whatever they like, millions are still uninsured, and healthcare costs have gone through the roof. While there are a handfull of positive requirements in the bill the the other 850 pages are garbage and need to be gone. We could repeal the whole thing and vote for a resolution protecting pre-existing conditions in a week. Democrats won't do it because they cannot admit that they screwed up and hurt the American people in the process.

@@nigelhanson12 - As far as the tax cuts, he enriched himself and his rich friends. No matter what excuse you have, them cuts were for the wealthy only. Maybe you missed all the articles about the millions of angry people who got screwed over. Just do a google search for Trump Tax Cuts. You'll get articles like these... www.marketwatch.com/story/its-official-the-trump-tax-cuts-were-a-bust-2019-01-30 www.marketwatch.com/story/trumps-tax-cuts-are-punishing-states-that-voted-for-clinton-data-suggests-2019-03-07 finance.yahoo.com/news/the-trump-tax-cuts-are-still-bombing-154647685.html The ONLY website that says they are good is, of course, his personal propaganda network, Fox, and probably other right wing cultist websites. As far as the press, didn't Trump revoke a press pass just because he got asked a normal question about his imaginary crisis at the border? Which, like magic, started on the exact same day as democrats took over the house? That is either a lie, which everyone knows it is, or the greatest coincidence in the history of mankind. Your choice. When you remove someone's press pass, it directly violates the 1st amendment. If the reporter was being violent, I could see it. But he wasn't. Trump is simply a major snowflake who isn't used to being questioned. That's the whole reason he put his unqualified family members in positions of power. By revoking that press pass, he sent a message to never question him. He is used to being treated as a messiah and when reality hits him, he can't handle it. He just wants to be worshiped. He is pathetic. As far as health insurance, Obamacare sucked. I guess it helped some people with pre-existing conditions but didn't do much for anyone else. But destroying it with no replacement was not the way to go. It was heartless and cruel to the people who relied on it. Trump PROMISED a better system that worked for everyone. He lied as usual. Its obvious that whoever supports medicare for all in 2020 is going to be elected. And with now 64% of republican voters supporting it and climbing, Trump is a fool to ignore it. Especially since the study done by the right wing Koch Brothers showed that it saves the US and its people trillions of dollars every decade. 35,000 people die on average every year in the US from a lack of basic healthcare needs. That is more deaths in one year than die overseas in our dumb wars while actually being shot at for over 2 decades. If Trump wants a real crisis, then there it is. Not some icky brown people at the border. With 2 years of a super majority in the house and senate, Trump did nothing to help America or its people. He was handed low employment and high GDP, and he did nothing with it except enrich himself and his wealthy friends.

@@nigelhanson12 - You talk about me getting my info from yahoo, which I don't. I simply linked the 1st few articles in the search. And then you link FORBES (good grief lol) and Washington Times. And I like how it says the taxes will pay for themselves IF WE WAIT LONG ENOUGH.. haha. No one wants to wait decades to get back to normal tax returns. People can't afford to wait. They have mortgages and bills to pay. And the reports so far have been bad as far as putting it back into the economy. GM took its cuts, split it up among their CEOs, and are closing 5 plants and laying off all the workers. AT&T took their cuts and also split it up among themselves and then outsourced 16,000 jobs to Bangladesh. And no matter what your excuse is on the press pass, he denied a member of the press their 1st amendment right for asking a legitimate question. It was revoked for only a couple weeks because someone must have told Trump he can't do that after the fact. Its not like he even knows our constitution. This is the same guy who thinks the stealth fighter has a cloaking device from Star Trek, and thinks we need to rake the floor of a forest. The president of Finland never even said that. Trump lied... sigh, AGAIN. National emergencies are 911 and Pearl Harbor type events. Not brown people trying to escape their drug torn nation thanks to our useless war on drugs. I don't care about fentanyl or any other drugs. I admit I have a immoral position on drugs. I say legalize it all, and get rid of the costly rehab centers. If we close our eyes for a couple years, they'll all kill themselves. Problem solved. I'm tired of worrying about strangers that I don't know. And I'm not voting based on that. So you're mind is made up. In 2020 you will vote for the guy who does nothing about out healthcare CRISIS, will up the war machine with no one threatening our shores, wants to get rid of the minimum wage, will give more tax cuts to the rich, and will do nothing about our crumbling infrastructure. To you, that is making America great again. To me, its a disaster. I will be voting for the other guy ...or gal.

Have these two ever debated each other? If they ever do, Bernie will be the first person to make me feel bad for Trump, because his's words would crumble to nothing in the face of someone like Bernie. Human compassion is something this country has lacked since it's conception. Our status quo has been eternal masochism for everyone except for the owning class. If someone like Bernie got on the debate stage, in front of the whole country, he'd force the most important issue of our time into the public eye: the issue of our leased-out souls.
@AlexBerish4 жыл бұрын

I don't think Trump will debate Bernie, I think if he did, Bernie would make him look like a selfish and corrupt oligarch that he is, who's doing this for his pocket books and ego. Bernie is running for president to help the working class not to get rich. Most people don't realize that when Bernie raises taxes on the rich, it will increase his taxes as well. What does that tell you? It's Bernie or Bust for me.

It shows he has a complete lack of understanding regarding the history of socialist movements. The socialists who come to power always do so under the banner of compassion. Not one of them was created with the intent to create an autocratic state the destroys individual freedom. The brown shirts of Germany were compassionate and yet after they centralized power, the leaders were assassinated and control was forcibly taken by a bad actor. It is striking to me how naive the 'socialists' of today are.

Winning means nothing if we lose all compassion. But remember that in many real life situations, all the compassion in the world doesn't matter if we lose. Example: is it better to be well fed and callous, or starving but compassionate. Balance is necessary.
@UltraVert4 жыл бұрын
I understand your point, and it's definitely valid. However it immediately reminded me of a Biblical verse called the Widow's Offering. Which basically states that those who have little to give but give it anyway are to be admired for their unwavering compassion/empathy. On the flip side think about apocalyptic/dystopian stories where normally good people will do unspeakable things when the world around them goes to shit. That is the time to be unwavering in doing what's right.
