Rif: I believe that it would be inappropriate in this setting to do a Hendrix. This wouldn't be necessary. He did arrange this as he saw fit. Mr. Williams had been a world champion at his other craft many times -- and will have much more "championships" in him with his music.

It’s the National Anthem. He did an amazing job. The issue with celebrities doing it for the super bowl and all star games (Fergie, Gladys, Steven Tyler, Edina Menzel, the list is LONG) is they try to make it about themself and make it their own damn rock concert.
