My 880 kept stopping and showing a bobbin error but no information. I kept cleaning and changing it, but with your video, I tried the little tool (I've hand my machine for more than 2 years; it worked perfectly. Thank you!!

Thank you so much Shelly, I have a 880 as well and I did not know how to use this tool, a little video is much better than a black and white design in a book.

Thank you. I hadn't ever had a need to use this tool, since I went thru my 830 Mastery classes. Your video helped to resolve my problem and keep me stitching on my Christmas gifts. Woo hoo, back in the saddle again.

Hi again Shelly. So I also have a 880 SE with very low hours/stitches on it. I just got it out when I was having issues with the B880. Same problem with the bobbin door. When I open or close the bobbin door the bobbin does not spin out. The only way to make it spin back in or out is by using the hand wheel.

Be sure to look at my other video on how to clean thread out from the bobbin area. That could cause it to not open and close in the normal way.

Thank you! My B880 when I open or close the access to bobbin door the outer metal bobbin assembly spins. Do you know what would cause this?
@SewShelly4 жыл бұрын
Give your Dealers tech a call. This is a question for them. Mine did that and I got a new sensor installed and was ready to go again.
@suzannedell68294 жыл бұрын
@@SewShelly Thank you. I actually was able to correct the issue by simply oiling and repeatedly opening and closing the access door. I know sometimes these machines can be a little temperamental. I assume my Bernina sensed me being temperamental and decided to give in.
@SewShelly4 жыл бұрын
@@suzannedell6829 Great! Don't be surprised or discouraged if you need a new sensor in the future.

Hello. I have a very old Bernina Record machine and the thread keeps nesting on the underside. I have rethreaded the machine and the bobbin multiple times. Still, the problem exists. The thread tension is set in the middle, the needle (70) is new, the bobbin and spool thread are identical. There is no loose thread in the bobbin area. What else can I try? Please help! I need to make masks for the healthcare workers. Thank you.
@SewShelly4 жыл бұрын
Be sure to have your presser foot up when you are threading so that the thread is in the tension disks and take up lever. Other than I am not sure.
