I really appreciate you sharing your space with us! I have the basic cabinet that has two slide out shelves for thread. I have separate storage for sewing and embroidery thread so your idea of storing bobbins, spool caps, etc in that area was very helpful!

I love your sharing and teaching! I must admit, however, that recently seeing how much people spend on sewing items has been a little overwhelming. I appreciate that you have shown us the big money items as well as less expensive ways to set up our sewing! When I started sewing it was a way to save money on clothing and home decorating, but now it can be an expensive hobby.

Same here. I’m just learning & plastic grocery bags have been banned so I decided to make some shopping totes out of pretty fabrics. As I was in line with all my selections, I saw reusable shopping totes lining the aisle at .99cents. Haha…. My fancy pants tote bag sure is pretty, but at about 20x the price!! I’m almost afraid to use it. ;). It’s fun though. I wish I had the $ to buy this machine and set up and talent to use it all! 😂

The arrangement you have is to DIE for! The space I have would never allow for that but I am always so happy to be sewing and watching your videos. You speak clearly and distinctly and explain things quite well without any....'fluff'. It's refreshing to watch and listen to you. I believe that being able to teach is a gift you are born with and you are one of the gifted. I would like to know where I can find a chair like the white and black one you were sitting in. I am short and it's a challenge to find a suitable chair. If I had to guess, I would say the arms on your chair flip back and out of the way. Thanks if you can help!

Thank you for explaining this cabinet to me...I purchased it a few years ago and it took 2 years to finally get it installed in my sewing area (long story). I have contacted Horn of America several times to ask them about this features of this cabinet (their video wasn't nearly as good as yours)...so today, I finally found out what the hole is for! A hooping station and how to use it! Yay! Thank you so much!

My husband made my sewing table for $200 from furniture (a corner computer desk) from IKEA. He cut out a place for my machine to set so it is flush. Not near as fancy but I love it. And we saved a bunch of cash.

I have an Ikea table that I am going to have hubby convert to a sewing table. Saves a ton since we repurposed it. I lofe Lauras table, but its out of my price range too.

@@nancy9478 mine has a shelf on gliders for my machine so I can easily slide it back for access to the bobbin. He then cut a piece of plexiglass to fill the hole and fit around the machine so everything is flush. It's wonderful. I then bought a drawer unit that's about 3 ft high for all my supplies, and made an ironing surface that is on my right. Very efficient.

It looks like melamine. It would be mdf or chipboard covered with laminate sheets, I think they are.
