A train that still has windows that can be lowered, how cool🤩. You are a little Roudi, overtaking and then riding the wrong way, we love those😂. What stunning scenery and those trails were fantastic🙌. I must go there one day to enjoy life and ride some trails👌. Good decision to share your location with Mrs. Trail Tracker, so you can be found in case of emergency😉. Awesome ride and great commentary💪, all the tips are very valuable. Thanks for this fantastic video and keep up the good work. Ride on and have a nice evening✌ I'm already looking forward to the next part.

I know. I saw a good opportunity to sneak past the other riders, but it didn't work out. You definitely need to check this decent out - it's a corker! Mrs. TT was impressed that she could check where I was and it even showed how much battery my phone had - a great tool for solo rides!

Great drop that Darren... And the thought of being able to loop it with the train is well tempting!! Hahaha... A good solo run is nice.. But you do need to air on the side of caution more than just going full send... But besides that... it's nee bosh like... Have a good week mate... :D

Cheers Phil. The Rätische Bahn is awesome for bike transport. It makes it possible to ride some huge routes. You're right, you always have to tone it back a bit when you're on your own, but when you find a trail like this that is well within your ability, it's a blast!

What a great ride Darren! I was there more than 6 years ago when we accompanied my parents on a trainride for my dads 80th birthday. Of course I had my bike with me. It was may, so still early in the year and Bernina pass was still mostly snow covered. Without a trailforks app or Komoot I had to sort of guess my way down in order to find some rideable trails. The section starting at 11:45 reminds me of that adventure back then 😄 I originally wanted to take the route you took two years ago but due to too much snow on top I had to skip the upper part and tried to reach the Bernina express trail via some hiking paths I dicovered on the swissmap site. Those turned out too risky to bike and hike for me alone. So I decided to go down the road to poschiavo where my family was waiting. If only I knew about that Val Lagune Trail back then ... In any way, it looks like I need to get back there one day!

Thanks Christian! Trailforks and Komoot, certainly make finding trails much easier than it used to be 😉 I know some of those hiking trails near the Bernina Express trail, and they are indeed pretty hairy! This was definitely my preferred route down from the top of the pass though!

Going to base ourselves out of Davos next summer for an MTB trip instead of going to Morzine for a change. These videos with the Komoot tours are so useful! Keep up the good work.

Glad to be of help. Davos is a great location to base yourself out of for some big mountain adventures. The train service in that part of Switzerland is especially bike friendly, so you can finish your rides a long way from where you start and still get back home.

This one's a banger, not particularly difficult, but tons of fun! I looked on the map afterwards and realised I'd taken a wrong turn. No one was using that trail with the knackered bridge, I should have kept climbing, would have got to the top of the last trail instead.

We rode this Sun 1st October. I don’t remember the blue run being as much fun as this video! Mind you there were a lot of little ups which weren’t as much fun on the analog bike 😉 next time the eeB for the win! We then did Col d’Anzana in the afternoon.

I'll have to check out Col d'Anzana next time I'm there. The ebike certainly made short work of all the little climbs 😉

Not sure you have, but you should check out the "Alps Epic Trail" in Davos, lots of fun... with an e-bike probably even more as you should be able to ride up all the uphill parts. I struggled quite a bit at times with my Bio-Bike 🙂

I’ve never ridden the whole trail, but I’ve done the section from the Rinerhornbahn to Monstein a few times as well as the last bit along the river to Filisur. That climb up to the station at the end is a killer! Might be a good idea for a video to do the whole thing though!

Wow, really interesting video, a great trail, and an amazing solo adventure! Also "Hammer Wetter" for mid October! 🤩 I usually prefer riding with people nowadays (even Brits as you might have noticed! 😄), but sometimes a solo ride is great, and if you manage to go on a proper little adventure like you did, it can be the best thing ever! I did once in CH when I did that high alpine hike a bike near Scuol 2 years ago (had a few vids up then) - that was an unforgettable experience. Met 2 people on the whole thing outside of the valley... P.S. ohh, more coming from the same day. Wow. I thought that was a whole day thing 😅

@TrailTrackerSwitzerland
@TrailTrackerSwitzerland 5 ай бұрын
This descent would be a good place to start. There are multiple other options to be found around here on trail forks, and the views are sensational. Otherwise, you could do a lot worse than head to the Bike Kingdom in Lenzerheide and Arosa, or Flims Laax where an ebike would make it easier to get to the Vorab descent which is amazing!
