I love you man. Alexi Laiho was my first major inspiration to start playing 18 years ago. Eric Calderone reminded me of that feeling 8 years ago when I had fallen off for a while. And then you turned up with the best advice and teaching I could ever have wished for. But one thing I've learned lately goes counter to almost everything I've seen by you: I don't want to take guitar too seriously. I strictly do it for fun, and while I do practice different things for periods of time, I'm happy that I finally let go of the pressure on myself to do it anywhere near 'optimally'. Still, again, there is no overstating what a great teacher you are!

Really glad i joined your patreon. It has helped me tremendously.

Hey could you explain what the patreon membership actually gave you? Bernth releases quite a lot of videos on youtube, I'm curious about the patreon impact from your perspective (or anyone else reading this comment and being a member)

@@uchicha666 I'm pretty new so I can only tell you what i like. There are a lot of different pat lessons that are designed and structured to improve a specific area you are working on. They all come with play along vids. I really like the play along vids because you get to see Bernth's technique on a given exercise from slow to really fast. The vids focus solely on the bridge and fret board. Also, there are vids that he sends out that are pat exclusive that explain how to tackle a given area of focus. Basically, he anticipates the problems you'll likely run into and how to counter them.

Bernth, how do you stay focused when you practice? I keep straying away from what im workn on? I must have A.D.D. or something.

Practice routine sucks because we dont work on what we are shit at; we keep repeating what we can already do 😂
@uchicha6663 ай бұрын
Yeah but would you still call it practice though?

I actually have more issues with my middle finger than my pinky. I think it comes from years of playing the bass mostly using index ring and pinky 🥲 my middle finger is weak sauce… and has bad control
@Alexgt1172 ай бұрын
How do we know if pur pinky is long enough to even play? It just seems so out of the question for me
