Thank you for another revealing discussion. Many humble people do not feel worthy of being called God's Children. Thus for them to receive a "Grand Invitation" to be mere guests, as "just friends" seems wonderful to them. It is indeed "Subtle indoctrination." For these men to suggest that even Jesus was merely God's "first guest" is the most disgusting blasphemy!!! It should be very revealing as to who their father is! Can you imagine, at Jesus baptism if the Father's voice from heaven said "This is just my first guest!" Many, if not all of us, have indeed been tested by various trials, especially when we received Christ's "new birth" and left off from following those men. "God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us." Acts 17:27 Much love to you and Wendy for blessing us.

I used to consider Jehovah God as my very best friend, someone i can lean on and rely on, but i have come to realize that it is not the right way of thinking of Him. He is not my friend, He is much closer than a friend. He is my God, He is my Father. Jehovah always was God, but Jesus Christ made it possible for Him to be our Father, and for us to call ourselves His children.

If you are not an adopted child of God and dont have Jesus as your meditator you cannot access the father. There is one hope. Jesus and the truth will set you free. How awesome it feels when you can study what ever and whom ever you want, without 10 senile men telling you what you can look at and what you cannot. This is not a grand invitation. As a father of three little ones I find this watchtower offensive and a smear against God. A guest is simply a guest, someone that is coming and going, welcome in my home yes, invited in but a very surface interaction and one that ends. They are telling them you are not God's child, friend, and even as a guest to God they are reminding you that your purpose can and will end. I believe this rhetoric is to remind them that you need to continue doing what we tell you to do, sacrifice what we tell you to sacrifice, and maybe you will be saved at Armageddon... just maybe, because as a guest God can toss you. When I was a JW I had no hope, none, because they constantly remind you that God can and will strip you of being worthy for saving for making a mistake or questioning. Guess what JW's, you can not and will not fulfill the law and your works will not save you. Only through our King Christ Jesus can we be saved and he is the one and only mediator to our Heavenly Father where he takes us in as his Children.

Many who were baptised into the Watchtower real estate corporation rather than into Jesus are now getting a real baptism in Jesus' name. Anyone can help baptise you: fully submerged, in any body of water, as Jesus was. (A full bathtub will do.) A believing helper would obviously be nice. They do not need to say anything, (John didn't say anything in baptising Jesus, like some special religious ritual) because it is you being baptised into Christ, in his name. (Remember that today, rather than a tongue of fire above your head, the Holy spirit reveals itself in your cultivating the fruits of that spirit. Love is the greatest of these. Gal 5:22)

Let it be understood that the JWS preach a tainted commercialized version of the Gospel as its core operations were involved with literature sales and proliferation. The men who created the organization's theological doctrines were also the top executive directors of the Watchtower Corporation publishing house. Its important to accept and realize that 1914 was first dated as the most likely year Armageddon would occur and this dating was done by Pyramidology by C T Russell when he ran and was the head writer for the Watchtower. All throughout the last 20th century the JWS preached that this living generation was "This Generation" written in scripture and they still teach that to this day.
