I am 74 years old, born and raised a witness, convinced that I would not grow old and die, that I and my family would see paradise and dead loved ones restored to this earth. BUT, I have lost both my parents and my brother to death. My aging body is telling me that I can look forward to the same. I left the organization in 2016 due to the the extreme policies for shunning and what I knew about the problem of child abuse within the organization. One thing I have NEVER been able to accept is the belief that out of 7 and a quarter BILLION people, only 8 million Jehovahs Witnesses would survive Armageddon. I don’t believe that the God of love and mercy would destroy people who have never known Jehovah, who live in extreme poverty, deprivation, physical, mental and emotional pain or people who do believe in God and live their lives with honesty, integrity, love and compassion would die because they weren’t Jehovahs Witnesses. None of this destruction at Armageddon rhetoric makes the least bit of sense to me.

My mom is 78 and a faithful Witness and she doesn't believe that terrible doctrine. She firmly believes JEHOVAH will make everything right for everybody. I've been disfellowshipped for over 25 years and she has never shunned me, in fact she's saved my life many many times. Recently she's even mentioned the changes to me when we're not supposed to have "spiritual association." What a very strange world JW is.

this church has jumped the shark as they say. I stick to the bible, and I don't worry about trying to figure out signs and prophecies. I only concern myself with how I live and treat others around me where I dont bring reproach to God's name. Bible says neither fornicators nor adulterers....etc. so my goal is to make sure i am not doing those things that are on the list. I believe in Jesus and our heavenly father, and the only religious book I need is Gods word the Bible. No other man made doctrine or book is required. God doesnt make mistakes but man does.

Several times now I've thought that when the audience has laughed at one of the GB 'jokes', it's not with the same enthusiasm I've heard before. It feels almost forced and as if only a few are laughing rather than the entire audience. Especially when you were how many are there. I'm wondering if there are more and more waking up to the nonsense they try to spin. I actually feel they've shot themselves in the foot explaining how they get new light. They do very little, and if anyone required HS, it would be the research team. I also found it revealing when that research team puts forward recommendations. And they then review it. I think once people start to think about that they're going to lose their edge. And I also think saying they don't need to apologise isn't going to go down well. I used to go to the meetings as a kid sometimes. When I got to college I had stopped attending. In my mid-30s I started attending again, and came real close to being baptized but didn't because of external reasons. One day I was on KZbin and came across a video about Jehovah's Witnesses. I clicked on it, and afterward my life was forever changed. I'm so thankful for channels like this that help people to discover the truth about this cult.

It's the neglect and abandonment that makes you feel like ending your life because you have been left stranded with no support system from family and friends. Don't let them win, don't let them feel smug that they have succeeded in breaking someone to the point of sacrificing themselves to their evil god, Jehovah. The true God loves you beyond measure. We are all children of God, here to learn and heal ourselves and the world from the trauma false religions have caused. Love is the most powerful energy, love yourself and develop self worth and know you are loved by your spirit team and ancestors. You will only have to come back and do it again if we end our journey prematurely without learning what we need to to grow and evolve into higher spiritual beings of light. You are loved and you are valuable to the world and God. Keep going it will all make sense, try not to dwell in lower vibrational emotions. Let go of anger, resentment, pain and frustration that keeps us in victim mentality. Enjoy the beautiful life God has provided for us now, be grateful for everything, stay in the moment, the present is where God can be found. She’s probably so afraid and had lost everyone and everything dear and familiar to her. There’s only fear and love. I guess fear got the better of her. I’m so sorry. I tried once to get reinstated. The elders made me detail everything personal in a long long letter of how the world corrupted me. Then I was told I’d be watched carefully at each meeting to see if I was truly humbled and of course the shunning would continue til they decided. It broke my heart all over again. So I ran and never again tried to get back. It was humiliating and to sit at another Memorial and have to bypass the bread and wine (only one old lady took it), made me feel the familiar loneliness in my heart for Jesus. And in reality, I only wanted to go back to be rejoined to family I had lost in the disfellowshipping and shunning. No, I couldn’t do that again. When I really thought about it: I did not leave them. They left me. ❤

Sir, thank you for your program. I truly appreciate your wisdom. In my opinion, we ALL face a great tribulation in our dying hours and we all face rapture and peace. God did not make us to kill us and to believe that, in my opinion, grieves the Holy Spirit. I used to be so timid, so afraid as a JW. Yet since the 70’s, I have educated myself, have gone through all the seasons of life as EVERYONE DOES AND WILL. There are Seasons and truly, a Time to every Purpose under Heaven! Yes, the Governing Body carefully orchestrates its own disasters. Have you ever noticed how each man in the Governing Body has a personality and facial expressions (or lack of) to match the tones of topics? For example, Geoffrey comes across big and jolly like a fatherly Santa figure to appeal to audiences who need that. The grandfatherly type who can be stern but loving or oh-so-silly is Lett with his dementia look and “Bahhhh!”, as though to entertain the children. Winder is nerdy and has the thick eyebrows and glasses and higher-pitched voice for those who are more tech-speak (so to speak)...these men must also love sitting or standing before the cameras and audiences. Now, I would be ashamed to be in the WT. As a young person, I was just scared as there was some “Wizard of Org” behind some curtain somewhere but we knew not whom or where. Thank you.

Dear Eric, I am certain from my own experience that the vast majority of Jw's do not understand these points in the slightest. Marilyn and are are so grateful for your clarification on this. Each time I raised this point within the congregation with the body of elders, I met with the following explanation. "Jesus has not come a second time, we are still waiting for that. But when we speak of the 1914 era, we do not mean his second coming, but his presence??? Jesus and Jehovah turned their attention on the organisation about 1914, when we were found ready upon his inspection. That was when we become Jehovah's earthly representatives"!!!!. Typically, I accepted this, but pondered on it often, until we left a couple of years ago. Hi Derek and Marilyn. It is so good to have you with us each week as we study the Bible together. I learn so much from the comments that all share with each other at the online meetings. I concur with you that Jesus cannot be present unless he has come. Jesus left in 33 C.E. and then he was present in 1914, but he didn't come in 1914, but will come in the future??? How does that make any sense? They love to play with words, redefining them to suit their purposes and help them save failed prophetic interpretations. How often have they redefined the meaning of "generation" until now we have this abomination called the "overlapping generation". What a joy it is not to have to make scripture fit the doctrines of men, but instead to allow God's word to speak for itself.

The beards and pants took focus away from this change in doctrine. In my opinion deliberately. This woke me up! I was always taught unequivocally ppl had to be “ in the ARK” or the organization. I think I had a breakdown looking back bc it now became my responsibility to reach everyone I loved or they would die 2nd death! I studied and studied thinking the knock at the door might be all they get, I took it very seriously ‼️ Now they admit they don’t know who will be saved and we don’t need to apologize for “ not getting it quite right” they wheeled Jeffery Winder out to make that statement ( another deliberate decision) give that to the new guy deflect the blowback…. They also said they are not infallible nor inspired …. I listened to that talk 3xs realized then I don’t need YOU I can study myself. I’m still angers how most seemed to miss the significance of this BS and they got away with even more deception! My husband came out with me but lost our daughter….. she doesn’t understand why this is such a big deal…. We r back to our original HOPE IN CHRIST. So many people have been disfellowshipped including yourself because of not agreeing with everything that the governing body has said. And they are saying we shouldn't be dogmatic in our beliefs. But they still continue to disfellowship people who disagree with the things that they have said. Especially this one I have had many feelings about things that they have said that I just didn't think could be true especially the fact that Jesus started raining in 1919 that's absolutely fallacy but if I would have said that to someone in organization I would have been disfellowship. I am no longer a practicing JW I'm not disfellowship or disassociated I'm just I guess what you would call an in active at this point but I just keep seeing them changing so many things that your head spins but when a nobody makes a statement and then a couple years later it's found out that the governing body actually believes the same thing and has changed that belief what are they going to do with the people they've disfellowshipped (destroyed) in the past?

Its all about human psychology. The greater number wholly believe the claim of the very smaller few who lead that they are the chosen few and whatever comes forth from their mouths is truth and can only be truth and past "truths" which are now "current falsehoods" are not to be mentioned. The truth is what we say it is and when we say it is.The power of disfellowshipment and shunning are the tools to keep the greater number "happy and united" (applause please) and discourage the leaving of the group or speaking negatively of the group. Can I suggest ( to all) a read of George Orwells "1984" to gain a small insight in how this group think functions. Its uncannily accurate.

Of the two verses they accept the first as being being prophetic and about them, but the following verse in which Jesus warns that slave if he finds them abusing his servants he will cut them to pieces is ignored and considered not prophetic. I think that WT from long ago made the decision not to teach the meaning of the scriptures with only one goal : Which is: if we teach the truth on the long run the sheep gets tired of lessoning the same information over, and over again and they probably leave the congregation.. Dear Bro Jackson. In the bible, anyone that is designated or authorized by Jehovah as his prophet or prophet-like spokesman and who make statements pertaining to scripture particularly in relation to prophecy, they are always 100% correct and they never made alterations over time delivering "new truths" to replace "old truths" - making the old truths false-- never again to be mentioned on pain of disfellowshipment - but God moved them to speak truth and truth it always was. Why then had that never been the case for the GB? So many prophetic utterances made in Gods name, and so many were seen to be fake. Anyone can make forecasts and interpretation about something no one can see. But it is a great gamble if the uttered forecasts are time limited ....and then that time passes by. What is a man to logically conclude? If God truly communicated such interpretation to his "chosen few who have been gathered out of Babylon the Great" tasked to gather the sheep, then he(God) has clearly communicated some falsehoods. Does God communicate falsehoods to "the slave" to "feed (or fool) the sheep at the proper time"? Or is there perhaps a more simpler explanation that maybe such communication did not originate from God.. but alas from men. Remind me of what Jesus said of the pharisees in his day.. " you teach commands of men as commands of God..". What do you think Bro Jackson? Is there some parallel here? Feel free to post a comment. Semantics. Yahweh or Jah or Jehovah. Jesus wasn't Jesus either. In Hebrew it was Yeshua. The word "Jesus" is the Latin form of the Greek "Iesous" which is the translation of the Hebrew word Jeshua, or Joshua, or Jehoshua, meaning "Jehovah( or Yahweh) is salvation". So we should all start saying Yeshua instead of Jesus. Otherwise we will be confused right?

I found it particularly interesting that in that chart Geoffrey Jackson showed, the "fall" of Babylon the Great is at the start of the future GT, yet Geoffrey refers to it as the "destruction". Is the GB finally saying the two are the same? That means they will have to abandon their teaching that Babylon the Great, including Christendom, was judged and "fell" in 1918. They will have to stop teaching that the harvest of the wheat and weeds bagan at that time (Actually they say that began in 1914). If they can no longer teach that Christendom was "rejected" back then, then they can no longer preach that they were favoured and then selected as the FDS. They have knocked over a domino, the rest better dam well fall over! Lol

What you're expressing about their mixed up doctrines is what I've found lately. I've been out for awhile but the Holy Spirit was tugging at me so I dived into their beliefs again with what I know now and reevaluated their timelines just like what you're doing. I now think WT is leading people down a darker path, not sure if they actually know it as an organization that they are but its not a Holy Spirit by any means thats leading them. Their prophecy on the Kings of the East with regards to the Euphrates has failed as of recent. If they believe all false religion will be destroyed... and suppose Islams Mahdi comes to power, someone who fits the biblical Anti-Christ to a T, it seems they could very well be liable to accept him since the Mahdi will make it his mission to persecute all *false religion* which will be the Jews and Christians who are regarded as dogs and pigs. Revelation speaks of the holy ones being beheaded and... Islam is notorious for beheading. Theres many many many glaring similarities that I can no longer brush off. I was looking into Islam a year ago before all this happened in Israel and I'd invite anyone to at least do the research. Either way, even WT's modern day theological timelines now seem to be everchanging. But honestly, thats what happens when you have no Holy Spirit. Their false prophets can't even keep up at this point anymore. The tides are turning though... and I genuinely believe Yahweh is going to hold those leading accountable for how they have profaned his name.
