I remember seeing Bastien Salabanzi back in late 90's when he was a kid in london at a contest and he never missed Kickflip backside lipside down a 12stair rail once. Truly amazing natural skilled skater with amazing board control. So great to see him still skating.

Wow. As a young skater, I somehow never paid much attention to the man, but I knew he was a veteran and I knew he had balls like most, if not all pro skaters. You forget sometimes that these guys are pro athletes, but are also human beings that bend and break like us. I could never picture someone as solid as Luan or Joslin or Walker tearing an ACL or anything like that, but it is possible and you hope for it not to happen, but sometimes it does. It really just makes me respect these guys even more. This is one of those sports where if you aren't sore after a session, you probably didn't give it everything you had. Can't wait to see you fully recovered man.

I think Bastien is like a breath of fresh air. Somehow watching those clips in the beginning opens my eyes to how great and amazing skating is. Also I feel like those tricks show just how long you can keep skating and be ripping shit because he is not so young but is creating a new standard for being able to skate in your 30s. No one wants to stop skating, you know. Get better Bastien!

I wish people were bigger fans of Bastien. We had a Primitive demo here where I live back in Feb 2016 and all of the younger kids had no idea who he was.. me and my friends recognized him right away. Just sucks that he doesn't get that recognition.

I grew up on u bastien my childhood hero I went through this also I had a ACL tear and it set me back then by the time I completely healed I got this awesome job and then I had kids I still skate but pretty much tearing my knee gave me a good job and 2 kids at the age of 26 gotta love skating.

I rolled both of my ankles least year first time a slight roll on my left ankle.With a brace I was able to skate lightly until it healed all the way.Second ankle roll was my right ankle which was easy more severe and it took me off my board for 2.5 month's before I could even start ollieing again. At least after about 2.5 weeks I was able to push without pain. I could never imagine being not even able to push on my board for as long as Bastien did glad he's skating again.

I remember moving to anaheim and getting a job at knotts berry farm. They said I could only wear all black shoes and immediatly I went and got is all blacked out signature vans. I loved this dude in the early 2000's. Still do. Glad he is getting better. Dude fucking rips
