Bastien just seems like a cool, down to earth dude. He's been one of my favorite skaters since i was introduced to him in Sorry. Glad to see he's looking good and still skating. He deserves his comeback because he didn't get nearly enough love from the industry when he was in his prime.

I enjoy watching his video part and it seems like a lot of ppl forgot he was in street league and did pretty good in it he was a crowd favorite.

Exactly, he wasn't very liked by the rest of the pros back in the day. I remember watching him during skateboarding contests in Europe between 2000 and 2002. The other pros were making fun of him because of his arogance. I am also glad he's changed and I really enjoy watching him skate nowadays. @TobiasHeinzle

Legend - Salabanzi is such a good host for this show - hope you make more with him, he is like so natural talking in front of the camera. His Nollie Heel down Macba were my first days in skateboarding so this episode is special to me :)

I Remember when Bastien burst onto the scene. He blew our minds with that VHS of insane tricks everywhere. His influence hit like a rocket, inspiring so many of us Brazilian skaters. Those early 20s, man, that was a golden age for skateboarding!

I've been to Barcelona a few times. the first time I went, I was looking for Macba, I started hearing the sound of skateboards and followed the noises, when I realized, there I was fulfilling a dream of visiting this place, and I even met Thiago Lemos

I’ve been to MACBA in 2006 and again in 2018. To someone who doesn’t skate you can’t explain the significance of this place. It is truly the most magical place I’ve ever been in my life. Not just to skate but the whole vibe of it all

Thanks a lot for this awesome edit! I had goosebumps watching it!t Two times in my life i have been to MACBA and can agree that this spot has so much impact on the progression of skateboarding. Its a marble dreamland like stalin plaza. I am happy seeing Bastien still around. When he became a skateboarding superstar in the early 2000s his level of skating was unbelievable. He still kills it!

The out ledge threading the needle was so epic, was so narrow you could easily get your ankle stuck in there and break it. Kenny Reed bs Smith in there still stands out as really special

For stalin plaza and macba are the two momumental european skateplazas in Europe. They are sill skatable and skateboarding there has progressed so much in the last 25 years.

It’s been said that was corruption Lucky for us skaters It’s a stone carryed from some place in Africa . Very expensive . Once an engineer told me it cost 7-8 times if u did with spanish stone So corruption is not always bad
