ALSO, SIDE NOTE: Katie and Kenny, I had my first ever vendor event for my soaps and other products, and one of my customers asked if I knew who “Royalty Soaps” was, and I burst with excitement! YAS OF COURSE I DO! She told me she has a literal collection of your soaps at home (multiple drawers!) and it was so fun talking soap nerdy with another super-fan. Love you!!

As a biochemist, I love hearing you talk about the reactions and possible things that occur when you are making soap (the heating, the ashing, saponification....) Its definitely cool to understand why things are happening chemically but then see it and hear a soapmaker discuss it :)

This is one of the many reasons why I respect Katie. The info shared about soap frosting in this video is priceless. Not many other soapers would share such knowledge. I thought the complete opposite when it came to frosting. So many other soapers told me that I needed to use mostly hard oils and butters in my frosting recipe. So thank you Katie! You have helped me and my business tremendously with this video!♥️

We have a summer dessert here in Denmark called rødgrød med fløde (red porridge or pudding with cream) eller jordbærgrød (strawberry porridge or pudding with cream). It's basically strawberries you boil with a tiny bit of water with sugar. Once it's thickened you take it off the hat and let it cool completely (first to room temp and then in the fridge). You serve it ice cold with cream (not whipped cream) or milk on top. It's delicious and refreshing. You can also use leftover porridge/pudding for a stellar crumble.

I think it would have been cooler if you made it look like a Berry parfait. Like do a layer of purple soap with little blueberry embeds and then a layer of"cream" and then another layer of "berries", etc. But this still came out pretty good.
