Just curious on what sort of fuel consumption is to be expected for a turbo 1hz? Im running about 12psi lending me 85kw and 340nm on 33's and only getting about 450kms to a tank which seems oddly poor.

How do you guys go about tuning a 1hz without the boost compensated pump. Is a boost compensated pump better or worse for tuning?

Its a Non Turbo indirect injected Diesel engine not made for Turbocharging BUT it will last just as long with a Correctly set up turbo system. The right amount of fuel. No need for excess fuel courtesy of an fuel pump compensator. A Fuel Pump Compensator (or Aneroid) is great on a factory turbo BUT not necessary on a 1HZ Turbo install.

Just put a new head on the wifes 1HZ 100 series runs well but will be in for a tune never set pump ever since we brought it 7 years ago just for piece of mind will get that done !

Getting a rebuild on my 5l and the business doing it said I’d greatly benefit from a boost compensated pump , it’s got an aftermarket td04 Subaru turbo. Right now it’s out with a spun bearing but prior to This I was running 25psi boost and basically freeboosting , crazy I know haha. They said with a boost comp pump I wouldn’t need to run anywhere near that much boost and still have the same amount of power. What are your thoughts mate??

Fuel is Power....not from Boost. and a non-turbo engine running a Factory turbo fuel compensator will go like a Rocket.... and Rockets eventually Blow up.... 🚀🔥

Setting the fuel loadings correctly is the Longevity but like a good Chef knowing what 'a little' measures up to is the hard part
