Berserk is a dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Kentarō Miura. The series follows the story of Guts, a mercenary warrior drawn into the world of the God Hand, powerful beings who rule the supernatural realm. The story is set in the Kingdom of Midland, a fictional country inspired by medieval Europe.
Guts wields a large sword called the Dragon Slayer and travels with a mercenary group named the Band of the Hawk. The group was founded by Griffith, a charming visionary who has an insatiable desire for power.
Traveling with the Hawks, Guts learns the true value of brotherhood and loyalty, at least until things go horribly wrong.
