A worse anime would have given guts a super hardcore metal or rock theme. Shredding guitars and loud vocals. But this anime got Guts. Beneath all the show and violence is a forlorn man wistfully searching for something always just out of reach.
@torishadow06124 жыл бұрын
I feel like he should have had a badass theme AND a solemn theme. He really is a double edged sword in the aspect that he shows true vulnerability and can be more human than some real humans. Also, he could be inhumanly angy.
@nomology64824 жыл бұрын
maybe the 2016-17 anime wasnt great but the songs seems suitable for it... because the world of guts is no longer normal, its full of monsters and restless nights... but i hope they atlest put this one for the calm moments

I agree so much with this. It's refreshing to see an anime about a badass like Guts is represented by something more somber.

Guts is far too "human" to be a fictional character in the traditional sense of japanese manga/anime culture, he makes mistakes, has deep regrets of certain things that changed his life completely, he has done things that are morally questionable to the readers more than once that makes us think "is this guy really the hero of the story?". hes not a bastion of pure good but hes not entirely evil either, hes a deep and troubled man who succumbs to his emotions and temptations like any human being would under his circumstances . hes always on the verge of insanity due to the crap fate throws at him and overall hes just filled with anger rage guilt and sadness due to all of his hardships he had to endure before he was even born. But he doesn't let others see that side of him so he simply acts crudely and savage most of the time so that people just stay away from him because he knows they will eventually wind up dead if they stay near him for too long, and even when he appreciates the companionship of his new friends he rarely ever smiles because of the enourmous existencial burden he has been dealing with all his life but even still he marches on shouting "fuck you!" to his own destiny. You can't help but relate to him in one way or another since we all had those moments in our lives despite not being at such a grand scale. all and all Guts represents humanity. the good and the ugly side of it but Most importantly his journey is one of defiance and hope.The hope that everything will get better. the hope where casca goes back to her normal self and the hope to lead a life worth living and not having to fight like hes had throughout all this time to defy what fate had weaved for him from the moment he took his first breath which was to die alone buried under the mud and blood of his own mother´s hanging corpse.

I'll save a link to this video cause i made a folder with sheet music for songs I want to learn, so I'll find it again eventually. I can already see it's going to take a lot of time and practice. One thing I have to keep in mind is to not give up and get discouraged when I can't get something right.

cheezl I have no freaking idea what's the difference. I've been looking for keyboards so far, since Im just learning. Electric pianos and synths seem to be a lot more expensive. If I'm ever good enough, I want to combine piano and electronic music, and express myself musically, so sooner or later I'll have to buy a synthesizer I suppose. For the past year or so I've been into lofi hip-hop, and all that aesthetic music, so like Vague003, nothing, nowhere., Nujabes, Ayur, DJ Okawari so that's what pushes me forward.

I'll be honest, i didn't read nor watched Berserk, I discovered recently that Kentaro Miura died and I can't help but too let tears flow down my face, i got deaper into the production and history of Berserk and all i can do is cope in silence. Miura had a rough life since the beginning, that's probably why Guts is so "human", it's not just an imaginary story, it's Miura's story, his way off showing his feelings of rage, sadness and loneliness... maybe even depression. I'm like this, every now and then I think about my existence, our existence, what it means, what if we really are alone and there's nothing else, everyday we wake up to continue a vicious cycle of never ending work, never leaving us time to be with our loved ones, to grow up as a person, to appreciate what life gave us to enjoy. The only I can imagine as our reason of existing now is just to suffer, being beaten by our choices while life doesn't get better, losing everyone you once loved and leaving you alone, to die alone inside a grave. It could have been better if we reflected about our lifes when we had time to do so, now we don't have time to even do this. I just hope I don't die alone and neither my friends and family.

A long time ago, I told my best friend that I was looking to jump straight into the last episode of a really great story I didn't know anything about, just for kicks. So he showed me the last episode of Berserk without telling me a single thing about it. I was so pissed off and shaken seeing such a horrible end where the protagonists' hope is brutally and horrifically destroyed -- but it was more than just suffer-porn. I was hooked on why this main character was fighting through all that darkness and carnage to try and save this person who was trying to kill them. When I saw that episode, I was mad. When I watched it through the whole way, the full story -- man that shit broke my heart. I have never read or heard a story since that has made me feel such unforgivable betrayal. Great rendition of the song, truly remarkable -- wild how music brings up vivid memories.
@Empireo_sebastian5 жыл бұрын
In their first battle guts was angry, rattled, and he lost. In the the second one Griffith was the one unstable so he lost. Whenever we get to it, when "that" fight happens I hope to see both calm... To make their last fight the one that truly settles it once and for all.

Berserk isn’t just a manga, it is a work of art. It is a masterpiece of storytelling, with complex characters, epic battles, and dark themes. It is a saga of struggle, sacrifice, and redemption, set in a medieval fantasy world full of monsters and magic. It is a vision of beauty and horror, of hope and despair, of love and hate. It is a journey that will leave you breathless, moved, and inspired. Berserk is not just a manga, it is a legend.

Ever wonder how when that mercenary said "It should've been you" when Guts killed his merc-dad it's like a theme for Guts? Guts is someone who, ever since he was born, was meant only to die; that was his Fate. His whole time living has been a definite defiance of his Fate, and those around him who he's lived with have paid his price; if he will not die then others will. Both his mothers died and he lived, his dad died and he lived, all of his friends died and he lived, Griffith died (I don't think of Femto as Griffith) and he lived, Casca died inside completely and he lived. Who will it be next time so that Guts can keep living?
