The audio is straight from the Berserk 2017 english dub. Episode 9 to be exact. So this isn't a brand new fandub, he took the audio and played it over the manga panels.

That is correct, this is a Re-Edit from the Berserk 2017 Anime into a Manga format. This 35 minute Episode took me several months to Edit with quality and effort.

This really does show that berserk 2016/2017 wasn’t completely horrible. There was a lot of passion behind the voice acting and sound design if given to a more competent studio

This is some amazing stuff man! I would honestly prefer this with high quality scans over an other adaptation. Miura's art is so powerful that even with movement, the characters feel more alive in the manga imo. Your edit takes it to another level. at 18:20 when Ash Crow starts playing... fucking *chef's kiss*

A little late to this but damn, just 8 minutes in and this is amazing. The voice acting is simply impeccable, I'd want to see the whole manga voice acted like this! A wonderful audio reading (w/ music) like this, where 100% effort has clearly been put into it, would honestly be better than a barely half assed anime adaption by a company that doesn't care/is ill-equipped to take on this manga. Seriously, good job 🙏🏻

Berserk is a work of such pictureesque style that simply dubbing the manga actually works really well. I enjoy that the community is able to pick up the slack a bit when it comes to creating content to fill in the adaptation gap we all have in our hearts about this piece of art.

As soon as you remove the animation people realise that the berserk 2016 dub wasn't actually that bad. The VAs and sound are far more important in conveying the emotion and story than the animation however bad it was.
