Probably would’ve been the biggest motivation to start reading the manga ngl. I’ve had many friends and others tell me to read the manga, and I would consider it, and still am but I kinda prefer watching the action animated whether the cgi is good or not and I’ve heard a ton of reviews saying pretty much the cgi and anime after the 1997 series, were all bad adaptions, but that will not really stop me from watching it. Once again tho, if there were audio books with effects and the voice actors, I’d be much motivated to read Berserk.

Yeh, I'd highly recommend watching the '97 anime, even if it skips some scenes and characters, you can always go back and read the golden age as well. No manga like berserk, definitely worth the read even if you prefer anime. Not that long either all things considered, I've probably read the whole thing 2-3 times at this point, you can binge it easily in a couple of days, also recommend putting on a music list to listen to while reading, captivating experience 👌@@roderickspencerjr.2482

Watch the Golden Age Trilogy, Mark Dirason (Guts), Kevin Phillips (Griffith) Carrie Kiernan (Casca) and almost everyone else from the 97 anime returned to give even better performances. Crunchyroll fucked up badly on dub VA casting and I've never given a dime to them since then.
