man, I miss Tuesday night fights on USA. had a lot of great tilts. Bert was a local legend around Delco/Philly area. Shame he couldn't keep his head on straight.

Bert was for sure smoking in these matches, but who's smokin' on KZbin is Rich the Fight Historian with so many great videos in so little time. Thank you, Rich!

I love when he knocked out Rich Melitto in a round in front of his New York crowd! He was something like 17 - 0 and Cooper murders him!

Loren Ross was hospitalized after this and never fought again. He was on the All Army Boxing team at one time. He passed away in 2013.

I had the privilege and honor to have him as my coach. He was always tough but loved us all. I miss him very much.

Thank you for covering Loren's story. Loren was one of three who boxed for the national heavyweight championship three times. The other two was Muhammed Ali, and Michael Spinks. After the Burt Cooper fight he was rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. He came to Detroit to visit i asked him nephew what happen in theBert cooper fight? He said i couldn't breathe. Sarcoidosis runs in my family.I thank you so much for the coverage he was my nephew!!!!

Bert copper was one of those guys that u never knew which one would show up. Sometimes he would show huge heart n Sometimes just quit on stool in fairly competitive fights. Crazy but I like watching his fights back in day

I have to say watching Ross for the first time. Definitely had potential. Descent jab "almost" similar to Holms(i said almost). Movement was good. Unfortunately fell a little short on the power and chin side. But so did Cooper! Even though he was a small HW man! He put it on! Went out on his 🛡️. Sad to hear what happened to Ross..he had some skills i was impressed 👌

My issue with Cooper was his undiscipline. He could've been a world champion had he conquered his demons
