Bert wasn’t kidding when he said his favorite thing was scotch, bourbon and beer. All these years later and sometimes I feel the tragedy of his loss line it was yesterday. Thanks for this rare treat.

What I would do to go back 40 years in time and drink a beer in a crowded smokey dive listening to John and Bert without all these new antisocial regulations. R.I.P. Bert & John.

Blackwater Side. Still remains one of his more culturally significant pieces. Dig what this great late guitarist has left us.

This is fantastic. Both sound at the top of their game. I reckon the Black Balloon , parts of which are played here, is one of the great acoustic guitar albums

There is this other solo live recording of Avocet, in Santa Cruz in 1978. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4SYhJmOl9mtg68 I had a feeling there was another from Japan, but the only live Japanese one I can find now also has Martin Jenkins.
