I heard the ISB for the first time in 2015. I was amazed! That summer it felt like I'd found something magical

I love the harp, such a majestic instrument, and what a talented musician, and love his interpretation of this classic and favorite song.

your man is a genius In the ISB he was one of the greatest Scotsmen ever to make music. Since their descent he has almost singlehandedly kept alive the ancient bardic tradition of Scotland. the divil has aw the best tunes. Give the man his due.

Robin is the first and only harpist I've seen use a thumb pick. I think I'll try it, too.

I am bewildered to find that I experienced this to be a harp piece far more beautiful before the song began.

Nice version! Never imagined it being played on the harp!!

he plays harmonic chord like fifths etc to enhance the tune. As a matter of fact He makes it into a Tune indeed.

"And here's some brief chat while I continue to simultaneously play beautiful harp with genius virtuosity." The man is amazing. I covered First Girl I loved and October Song and was so proud of myself for getting even remotely close to anything ISB. He's a real quality writer and performer. I would've loved to see him and Bert Jansch touring together.

There is a story, possibly apocryphal, about a drunken evening when Williamson & Jansch discussed playing together. The conversation turned to naming the venture and The Impenetrable String Tangle was suggested... I hope it's true.

Dylan's great, but he's constantly hiding himself/trolling his audiences, i.e., bullshitting. Robin? Never.
@jblack7159 Жыл бұрын
I am truly appalled! I used to be such an admirer of Robin Williamson's vocals, especially in the days of the Incredible String Band. Now it seems he can hardly sing at all. A really embarrassing performance! And on top of that, he trashes a classic Dylan song!
