In this clip, Bert Kreischer opened up about Oliver Stone optioning the rights for a movie on his life story after Rolling Stone did a write-up about him being the biggest party animal at the time. The movie never came to fruition, and Bert's team felt that his story had been turned into "Van Wilder," and they wanted to sue. Bert decided against suing at the advice from his then-manager, which he explained ended up being a great decision. He then explained how he started performing shirtless, which you can hear about in full above.

There's proof that it's mostly true. His classmates have verified it's validity and maybe a couple of them would be willing to lie for him, but if it was bullshit it would 100% have come out by now. I was skeptical at first too, but after seeing pictures, seeing his classmates validate the story, and also hearing stories about other people who were in Moscow around the same time... it's really not hard to believe. As much as this may sound true, it’s not. My dad is the writer and creator of the original Van Wilder. At the time, he and his writing partner had no idea who Bert was. The concept of the story was based on one of my dad’s brothers in his fraternity nicknamed Scooby who stayed in college for 7 years at CSUN
