A long time ago I used a Gravely two wheel tractor. The rotary plow was on the front. There was quite a learning curve to get it set at the right angle. It also had a tendency to beat you up pretty good if you hit a big rock. There are lots of instruction manuals, etc. available. Same idea.

I recommend even to beginners to try the plough WITH OUT the "training wheel " especially if you are in sandy ground .The wheel assembly weighs 5 lbs and if you are on soft sandy ground it will sink down and create a drag that will cause you to repeatedly loose traction and get stuck and every time you have top lift up and shove forward yop get traction again. Tha action of the breta plough is to sink into the soil as it bites and you have to lift as you go forward in soft soil or it will sink in and get stuck . The remedy is to remove the wheel ( which does not turn because it clogs width dirt but just drags causing you to work harder pushing it along ) AND put 45-50 lbs of counter weight on the front grill --then the BCS 853 tractor will cruise along with ease in sandy or soft soils with out getting stuck . I recommend that even beginner try it like this also look at the wheel that is NOT in the ditch top get the maximum with of cut --seeing that it has the maximum distance between the inner side of the tire and the edge of the ditch --you will get done in fewer passes . in this way I have been able to plough 1/2 acre in an afternoon ( 5-6 hours ) without straining with smile on my face before I did this it took 2 days of grimacing and lifting and pushing

Hi Joel, thanks for such informative video. I recently bought bcs 853 with rotary plow and 30" tiller from local dealer here in Louisiana and you're right, they don't really tell ya how to use the thing! Is it possible to get a copy of the "how to actually use" manual you created? Regardless this video and your other ones have been extremely helpful.

Can this be used on the older 732gsx11 that had the Honda motor? I heard that the tires that came with it may not work with the plow. What would you have to do for the plow to work if so? Thanks

The 732 GX11 has plenty of power to operate the plow, and the standard wheels on that model (5x10x20") are fine, you just may have to mount axle extensions to get them far enough apart (recommended distance BETWEEN wheels is 16" to 18" to operate the plow)

Hey Joel does it matter whether the tractor is BCS 732 11hp or 9 go to operate the 26 inch flail or even the beer single rotary plough?

The 9hp will have a lot tougher time with both of those implements. The 11hp is much better, if you plan on using the tools to their fullest potential.
