Its the final episode of our front panel miniseries. time to weld up the biggest repair panel I've ever tried.

Great work! I was debating if I should go with Klassic Fab or WolfsburgWest for the nose, I ended up with WBW but I can see KF does a good job with their nose as well. However every time I get klassic fab metal I spend hours removing that green primer since it doesn't seem to be very good quality. The WBW panel seemed to be coated in a weld through primer but the finish was nice so I just ended up scuffing it and epoxy priming it. You should be proud of the hard work you did here!

Thanks very much! yes the KF nose is made from thick steel which I liked. also at the time we bought it I wasnt aware of anyone else producing a full length early bay nose. Only those late bay ones with the extension and fill in panels for the indicators. its lovely to hear of someone else who has been through this process also! The. bus is at the painters now, we plan to shoot another video and I'm hopefully going to be doing some painting too! should be fun :)

Hi mate just started watching it again did you check your doors like I mentioned in your previous video? Hopefully they fit fine

Hi Michael, yes I did bolt the doors on prior to starting the front panel. They do fit in the hole :). Thanks again!

I need to do this for my 72 bus. I see you welded the top, around the vent, and the pillars. What about the bottom. What welding did you do at the bottom?
@could_try_harder6 ай бұрын
I did the bottom of both a pillars. You can buy those repair panels and they are thicker steel as you would expect. So easier welding ;)

Nice video! I was wondering, how much cm or inches do you have to have to fit the winshield?
@could_try_harder2 жыл бұрын
From the clip it looks to be 57.5 cm or about 22.5" good luck with the fitment!
