I don’t think it’s that he talked too much but we never see him engage in the convo with Sonny. I enjoyed what he was saying but he was never like “mhmm oh yeah I agree and can relate blah blah blah”. Kind of came off as a one-upper but still great convo and interview. So nice to see Sonny just talking, I’ve been really curious about everything Bert asked him for so long. Glad he really is THE guy behind the show. I figured as much.

A year later, the podcast with Joe Rogan also went that way too. These guys fan-out and end up dominating the conversation talking about themselves but Sonny just rolls with it in good spirits....but somehow Rogan had Sonny nervous at the beginning. He got into his stride later, but with Bert, he was more at ease.

Perhaps it’s just me but… This didn’t seem like a balanced interview. Sonny was interrupted constantly by the host making it about him. It seemed rude and selfish of this host. Love Sonny for his talent at being a creator and his patience in a rough podcast with a man who seemed to want to talk more about himself than the person being interviewed. Have never watched Brent before so I don’t know if this is his norm or perhaps he was inebriated in some way??? Just my observations 😕

36:58 Another thing to remember is Vietnam won the war. As far as they are concerned they beat the most powerful military in the world. That is one of the big reasons why they do not hold a grudge. Who wins a fight against the world champion and then holds a grudge? I stayed there for 6 months. It is a great country. 100% recommend visiting if you haven't yet. Super cheap. Super great food. You can run into a little bit of people trying to scam you especially in the middle of the big cities and tourist areas. Outside of those the people are so friendly and will just ask you to sit and have a drink with them when they see you are a foreigner. If they allowed foreigners to own land there I would totally buy a house.

My sister lives in Wyoming inside Cincinnati and knows Otto Warmbier’s family. The North Korean government set him up and detained him to use as bargaining chip. The video they showed of him taking down the picture from the wall they used as justification to arrest him was doctored. They mistreated him and were rough with him but what killed him was an accident. His family was told all this by the US government. It’s sad as hell because even though they didn’t outright torture him that kid suffered badly (he was starved & roughed up by guards). That family is broken.
