I totally agree. My fiancée introduced me to his music right after we met.Zakk was one of his favorite musicians. I too became a fan,but now its different. My fiancée past away a few yrs ago and I listen to last goodbye and few other songs and think of him.4 yrs later and I still think of him listening to this and feel connected. When Zakk sings, he sings from the soul.

I have listened to this song years ago when I lost my best friend of 25 years at the age of 36. Then again when I lost my father a year later and my mother 7 months after that. It's been about a year since i have heard it. It still is a very moving song as i sing it to my baby girl that is almost 2 and was born on my dads birthday 9 months after he died. She looks at me like she has known me for my entire life. She has no clue how much she has my heart. But I think she does. She has always been in a good mood. Always happy. I would say I miss you dad. But you know. Your still here.

I was diagnosed with severe depression 3 years ago and was in an awful place and came close to death on numerous occasions but thankfully got the help that I needed and now living life to the fullest again. My husband, his friend and I walked into little a bar in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago, circa 1992, and there was Zaak Wylde sitting at the keyboard doing a solo show. The bar had some people in it, but by no means crowded. We stood right in front of him. I really didn't even know who he was, but I knew I was in love with this man's music. I couldn't believe we got so lucky as to stumble across this amazing fate. After about 20 minutes, my husband's friend says, "I gotta go home. I gotta work in the morning." WHAAAATTTTT????? I couldn't fucking believe it! WE HAD TO LEAVE!! To this day, I wish I would have stayed and taken the bus home!!

I'm so extremely sorry for UR Loss of UR daughter to Suicide, It leaves a deep hole inside of UR Soul!! I am so glad that U have found a song to help U to express the way U R now left feeling!! Nobody will ever have the right to tell U how to Feel about what has happened 2 U & Ur Family EITHER!! I lost a cousin to Suicide in 2012, it has left a huge hole in all of our Hearts, it saddens me so much when there are Organizations currently trying to make a difference, the 1 I'm most familiar with is called "Out Of The Darkness"!! And annually they do a walk in Loving memory of lost LOVED 1's to bring awareness about Suicide & I walk 4 team Shawn my cousin, he killed himself over a failed RELATIONSHIP, I often wonder if he had given himself 24 hours if he wld have still made the same decision!?. Though I'll NVR know! The most difficult thing w/ Suicide of A Loved one is the sudden loss, which most 90% of the time, is the feeling & thoughts that U R left w/ afterwards. Like I wish I wld have known how desperate he truly felt when his FIANCE' had left him 4 another man!??.I will Always have some regrets as with the rest of my family!!

Zak this is the first of 3 songs that describe a 7 year on and off relationship with a man I would of walked thru fire for. I loved this man with every fiber of my being. The second song is Spoke in the wheel. The last and final song is Scars. Those 3 songs sum up that relationship to a tee "as I turned my back to walk away". I was left with scars that healed but never mended. These 3 songs touched the very depths of my soul and helped me to heal. Thank you Zak!! BTW hope to see BLS live in Charlotte NC again.
