Some beautiful beards! Awesome video, the host has made me a lot more optimistic about going grey lol... You mentioned the "Philly beard" and; being popular with African Americans- typically sported with a pencil moustache. I could be wrong, but my guess is the fact there's a lot of muslims in Philly. And a lot of them are African American. And it's a traditional for us to grow a big beard, but trim the moustache. There's been famous African American brothers from the music industry who ended up embracing Islam and adopting this style too. So it wouldn't surprise me if that had some influence :)

In the process of moving from a 'stache/long goatee to a full long beard. Since I'm completely grey with some iron highlights and am finding out my beard has a LOT of waves, I have a suspicion I may get tapped to be Santa soon. I also shave my head, so the contrast of what I'm hoping will be a very full looking beard with the smooth head creates an interesting look, for sure. Beardbrand products figure into the equation significantly. In particular, the beard oil coupled with a Beardbrand comb are a must. It reduces the "yank - OUCH" factor in a big way. Thanks to Beardbrand for being a positive factor in supporting the bearded community.

@@theoglenister7740 but if your skin is really sensitive I recommend you try minoxidil in foam form, takes a bit longer for the vellus hair to transition into terminal hair in comparison with the liquid form but it still promotes growth. Great beards gents. Grew my first beard about 8 months ago and the thing that stopped me from growing a beard for the longest time was a lack of moustache connectors to the goatee area and a sparse under lip area. Needless to say, 8 months later with time and length my beard is far better than I ever thought it would be. You’d be surprised how time and length really does solve most of your beard problems! Shoutout to George Bruno 😉

I've tried beards before, but I just cannot handle the way they feel. The first few days is OK, but after a month I just can't stand it. My cheeks have a little wave to them, but the area under my jaw is VERY curly and constantly winds up getting caught in itself. It seems like I'm always having to deal with one or two hairs pulling on each other. By the end of a month I'm just glad to shave it all off. But if someone likes having a beard, good for them. It's just not my thing.
