Besigye and 4 FDC MPs briefly detained, barred from attending Rukungiri rally

Police this afternoon blocked Dr Kizza Besigye along the Masaka-Mbarara highway from proceeding to Rukungiri where he was expected to hold a rally. Besigye who was moving in a convoy with a number of party officials was later carted off to Kaguta Road Police station in Kiruhura district where he was interrogated. Others including lawmakers Ibrahim Semujju Nganda, Paul Mwiru, Geoffrey Ekanya, Patrick Amuriat and FDC Party Chairman Wasswa Birigwa were also arrested.

Wow! After watching the video. I find no merits whatsoever in what police spokesperson (Enaga) narrated. Enaga to say that the woman undressed herself is childish and unprofessional of him. The lady was forcefully dragged on the ground and undressed by police officers while shouting on the top of her lungs - why undress me!!! Uganda has never seen this police brutality since independence, 1962. NRM mobilizers like M7 and police IGP are terrorists causing peace loving citizens near forceful death expereince. In brief, the arrest as it unfolded was inhumane.
