For people who want to know what's going on is that Max Orido san is teaching Sayaka san who is actually a drift racer how to drive for Grip Runs. Teaching her the basics of braking lines and Breaking points for Grip racing runs. Max Orido san also teaching her the balancing and controlling the car during turning. Really a very Informative Video. BTW Max Orido San's Daughter Maaya Orido is very Good at Driving..!

I’ve been a viewer of Best Motoring and Option since the late 1990s, and just by watching-and having a very minimal understanding of Japanese language-I have been able to figure out 70% of what is being discussed. This is all without English subtitles. Language can be broken down into visual interpretation in these EXCELLENT videos!

THIS needs to be English subtitled, you can tell by how much knowledge is being spread but us English speakers are struggling without it 😭
MAX Orido is an amazing teacher! So rad to see Sayaka and Maya in action and learning!

Please Best Motoring, could you add english subtitles to this video? It would be great. I don't speak japanese but I already know this is an amazing source of driving knowledge. As always, thank you so much for your work. You are the best.
So différent approach between drifting and standard race driving !!! So interesting to see the différent views of driving and the difficulties of the two of them !!! Thx

Wow going back to back from the Sileighty and the 86 the 86 has incredible grip in comparison even though both drivers were incredibly smooth.

All I'm getting is - when car approaches a corner, turn the steering wheel ✊🏼 But obviously there's more to it than that. Orido san is speaking words of wisdom, please do us the honor of subtitling so that we may also take in this wisdom 🧑🏼🎓

He's instructing on braking and acceleration timings. In the first hairpin, she opens the throttle before the car finishes rotating, causing the rear to slide out. What's cool is that the color of the cones show the timings of the course. Brake on the first blue striped cone on the outside, turn in on green cones, aim for a late apex marked by the yellow cones, accelerate as the car finishes rotating. This looks like so much fun.

she drives very very well, i think that she can improve if use the left hand, she didn't use the two hands at all. 25:00. nice driving in a nice car.
@patrick.drives3 жыл бұрын
I disagree with this, her grip on the wheel seems to be really light, as it should be - the driver loses resolution if the grip on the wheel is too tight, you can't feel what the tires are telling you if you don't allow the wheel to move. Also, a lighter grip allows the driver to release the wheel from the corner faster, drivers should always aim to use the least amount of steering input as possible

at around 17:40, look at Orido's grip on the wheel, he is simply pinching it with a couple of fingers on his right hand - super light grip
