I really have been missing your tutorials. I wish you and Adam would post more often. Also we haven't seen Fay in ages! Love watching you doing client's as well as your Alena hand for inspiration and new ideas. Thanks to you both for all your hard work and time is greatly appreciated!

Oh my gosh, Kirsty just be saying life changing tips so casually! I never blend my tips bc I'm scared of accidentally over filing my nail. But they always have a line of damage specifically in that spot when I remove a set. Never would've known it was from not blending the tip!

I always love your videos. Specially full sets on clients and tutorials. Ive been rewatching your old videos trying to get inspo for my next set. Im getting bored and need to take the risk buying more variety of products and trying more colors and prosucts for designs and art. I always get inspired when i watch your channel!

I love them 🎉. First of all, I never knew what “AB” stood for, my interpretation for “AB” is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 😂😅. I enjoy all the fun facts Adam brings to the channel ❤. I really like the guy, because he brings so much to you both as a successful team, and it’s nice to hear a male speak about things that are not always spoken about amongst the boys😅. My nail guy has some explaining to do! Why do I only get a one and half hour window for a full set 😮 If I had 4 hours of time with him, I could also be saving a trip to my therapist monthly 😂 I guess I’m just going to have to start giving him more of a challenge and ask for more besides plain nails 😊 I can’t complain, we have great conversations and I never have any lifting ❤ It’s safe to say $160 is a reasonable price. I do have one question, do you think it is rude for a customer to bring their own crystals in? They do have their own, but sometimes I just have some that I really like. The other thing I tend to do is after he has already filed them, I have a tendency to refile them myself. Not in front of him but I do it if I see an area that looks a bit off. I think I do that because I feel a bit rushed and don’t want to inconvenience anyone’s time. Ugh, you give me so many things to think about 😊

So I still use my first Kirsty Meakin double ended brush. The original pink and purple. Confession: it fell off my desk and broke 😢 So I used some superglue to perform some emergency triage and got it put back together. But not before I ordered three new brushes from Kirsty’s line. Still using the original. 😂❤

The time and being paid for it is such a crucial point, and one people never seem to think of when it comes to art/craft/creative work. It’s not just the cost of the materials! I’ve had people ask me to knit them jumpers, telling me they’ll pay for the yarn and thinking it’ll be £20. Yeah, maybe £20 for a toddler-sized jumper! And it takes hours and hours to knit something, like it takes hours to paint something, to cut and sew a garment, to write a perfect report, and to create a beautiful set of nails. Plus the fact that with nails, you’re working in miniature art, which takes an incredible attention to detail and a steady hand that most don’t have. You can pay for all the expensive, fancy materials but if you don’t have the skills and patience you’ll end up with nothing. Creative jobs are way too often underpaid because people don’t value the time of a skilled craftswoman/man. I’ve been watching your nail tutorials since way back at Naio. I’ve never had acrylic nails in my life - I’ve never even had a manicure - but I just love watching how you create such amazing masterpieces of art in such a tiny piece of real estate. You really are a master of your craft, it’s fascinating to watch!

Oh my, this looks amazing. Love the result. Now Kirsty how do I create something similar with gel? Please do the same but with gel ….pretty please …. ❤ love your videos and products obvs. 😂
@EmeraldSapphirefairyАй бұрын
something i wonder is when you are doing that kind of french like that are you pinching the nail between the layers of acrylic, like when you do the base nail and you have to let it set do you pinch it then? I think some of my problems come with not knowing when to pinch because i am a nail tech in the US but i love making nails look slim and not fat and thick.

@kirstymeakin I got a question....what would you recommend doing for someone who is trying to grow their nails out but they are brittle and thin break easily??
@wendymoyer782Ай бұрын
Nail techs not saying where they are located is a pet peeve. Nothing more annoying than seeing a design or work I love, and searching back to the main page, the "about", scroll, scroll scroll; and then finding out they're located half a continent, or an oceans' width away.
@greyjade5501Ай бұрын
Why is that? I highly doubt she’s taking new clients…
@Miapetdragon692 ай бұрын
Best way to figure out your prices is to look at other nail techs ads and see what they're charging... Then go one or two dollars lower that way you can get clientele because they feel like they're saving.... And if you do really good quality work then you're going to start getting a clientele base that's loyal.

I’m a little worried! We’ve only had 1 video in 1 month, what? It was this time 2 years ago you guys celebrated 100k subscribers and now you have 130 thousand subscribers. I guess what I’m asking is when will we get consistent videos ( not product marketing) after the support for 8 years minimum? Just wondering cause you’re moving to the bottom of my list atm. Thanks, I guess 🇦🇺❤️
