The interior is beautiful and the paint work looks nice however it would be nice to see the decks and the paint from a little further out. On the next ones could you show the engine compartment and the deck layout please.

For me the best feature is the reversible dinette seat so you have extra seating in the saloon when you need it without the dinette just sitting there taking up unused space. Brilliant.

Depending on how old you are (and your picture implies this advice woudl not work): Not buying a lottery ticket once a week is a saving of say three pounds. That is 150 pounds per year. In 30 years, if you put that money in a jar, you have 4500 pounds. If you put the money to work on the stock market, in an index fund, the first years 150 £ would be (at 5% average increase in value, which is low historically) 600£. You should have at least 9000 £ to spend, or more likey 2-3 times that. Now do the same with you weekly pub crawl (clocking in at 20£ every week or 1000£ per year) and you would have a few hundred thousand pounds to spare. All of this assuming that: a) You are not spending this money on anything else but actually save for retirement b) Can afford these spendings with your current income. Given that a bespoke narrowboat like this one, new, will only set you back £100 000 to £150 000 a 20-year old with any kind of job that actually supports their basic living costs (including the basic luxuries like the occasional restaurant visit or a fancy home meal for special occasions). And if you do not make even that kind of money, why are you buying the lottery ticket instead of the ingredients for bread that will last you a month (if you live alone)? Sure, kids will ruin your economy, as will expensive living, a bigger or faster car (especially if you live where you can do without a car most of the time so rental is a better option), but these are all choices you make. Four years ago I could have bought one of these outright, but I lost my job, got into a depression and have lived off those savings since then and they could last another 2-3 years unless I get my life together again. So shit happens, it happens to everyone, but if shit does not happen, you have no excuse for not saving for the things you want.

Is it electrically powered? if so it is fab.
@TairnKA4 жыл бұрын
Here's an idea for controlling bow thrusters. Have a mechanical/electrical device at the tillers base (above or below decking) so when turning, the bow thruster will assist in a turn, ie: sharper the turn higher the thrust. Also have a hand grip like a motorcycle throttle for opposite thrust for docking or whenever you need to go sideways (switch on throttle only). On the hand grip there would be switches for thrusters on/off, throttle only (overrides tiller assist) and maybe the horn? ;-)
@AquaNarrowboats4 жыл бұрын
The controls for the bow thruster are within easy reach of the tiller, although the boats are now full of technology sometimes you still need to bear in mind the KIS principle👍

Thanks for the feedback - all the boats are bespoke built to the customers requirements. Not all customers spend a great deal of time watching TV so don't want to redesign their boat for something that isn't that important to them.
