I wore this in my 20's and it is as distinctive as it is powerful. But as this reviewer states, worn correctly it is suggestive and then authoritative. I was sending a card to an old flame and I sealed the envelope with a mist of Aramis. Smell is a potent memory trigger, and this was a decade later or more. Let's just say she called me when she got that card.

This has been my only fragrance for the last 2 years. I wear it in winter, summer, autumn and spring. During spring and summer I would only use 1 spray, and in winter and autumn I would use 2. I have received a lot of compliments for using it, both from men and women. I even used it when I had my construction supervision job. This is the type of fragrance you can use if you are chopping down wood, or taking a lady out on a fine night. My GF wanted to buy me some, and the store attended asked her how old her bf is (I'm 26 btw). If you are looking for a metro man scent, then Aramis is not for you. Aramis is bold and unrefined as well as distinctive. I can't get through the day without my morning mist spray.

Back in the 1960s and 70s, the air was full of tobacco smoke and our clothes stank of it, even if we didn't smoke. So the aftershaves we wore had to be strong. I started using it in my late teens. @Bespoke Unit thanks for the review, I brought a bottle from Amazon recently. I am wondering if it may be old or faked as it doesn't seem to last as long as you say it does. ( maximum 2 hours) the serial number is stuck on with a neat plastic label on the base, I wondered if you have seen this before? Or is the serial number on your aramis engraved/imprinted onto the glass bottle?
@Bespokeunit4 жыл бұрын
Hi Edward, If it's any consolation, the serial number of mine is stamped onto a large sticker at the bottom of the bottom (BA6)! If it's a more recent batch, it may have been reformulated since I did the video. Alternatively, it could be a much older one, which may not perform quite as well. Another possibility is that you may be going nose blind after a while since it's so strong. The best way to check if it still smells is by asking somebody else. Best, CP

I just got this in the mail 2 days ago. When sprayed I got this big blast of cinnamon, a lot like Big Red gum. Wife got the same impression as I did. The drydown smells very powdery. That's all I got out of this fragrance, nothing more. I expected a much more masculine, dark, rich, aroma that lasted. When sprayed on wrist, scent is gone in 25 minutes. Extremely weak and definitely will NEVER repurchase this Aramis. I love the bottle though very classy.

It does not have staying power. I bought aramis after so many positive comments from the people who wear it. I bought it and i sprayed 5 times on my clothes and after an hour it vanished. I had to sniff my clothes to smell it. What wrong with it man. Is it diluted?. My bottle is genuine by the way. I don't know why people are saying it's lasting power is insane but it's hardly there.
@Bespokeunit5 жыл бұрын
Hi Stallion. This is the first I've heard about that... Could it be that you go noseblind to it? Picking it up on textiles could be hinting at that as the fragrance isn't cycling or evaporating the same way as it does on skin, you won't get used to it the same way. Ask other people if they can smell it! Best, CP

@@Bespokeunit I just got Tobacco Reserve and the original Aramis reviewed here. This one took me back to my childhood. I am not old enough for when this was released. I was born in the 80s but a lot of the younger kids back then wore grandpa colognes in Iran, mostly due to the lack of variety I guess, and I was no exception. It has an old man's after shave kind of smell but I kinda like it. It brings back memories and is very different from what's trendy today , Dior Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel(so bland), which I love. I like the Tobacco Reserve more and it's perhaps my favorite Tobacco cologne because it's dry leaf tobacco and lacks that nauseating sweet smell found in most Tobacco colognes today. I think Aramis is pretty underrated like Guerlain.
