The Discovery that Rocked the World of Card Magic! (MAA Presentation)
In this presentation, I explain how I discovered perhaps the most important mathematical structure in card magic history - an "unmixable" packet of playing cards.
While researching the properties of Cyclic, Mirrored, and AMP structures, I discovered an infinite number of truncated portions of the Thue-Morse sequence that yield packet structures of playing cards that are invariant under virtually every (systematic) mixing procedure commonly used today!
