My friend gave me a useful tip of looking at the 3 star reviews. He argued that sometimes the 1 star reviews can be someone being emotionally reactive over a small defect or bad exp with seller vs a 3 star review is more likely to be a fair review and still provide pros and cons of the product. While 5 star reviews can be dishonest reviews (bribed or fake reviews).

Such a fun conversation… I do have a silk cap but maybe it’s because I’m 60 tomorrow, it really isnt very attractive to wear - honestly - my husband doesn’t want to see that in bed next to him. So I braid my hair at night and use a silk pillow case. Love those e-lighters and the idea of using the frother to mix up the salad dressing - brilliant. Thank you ladies!

I felt the same about air fryers. So much hype. I was convinced I didn’t need it… but I spend like a month w my MIL and my SIL had me using that thing constantly for veggies and nuggets for the kids and I am now HOOKED! I have a gourmet kitchen and find myself using my rice cooker and air fryer for everything while my amazing stove and ovens sit unused now 😩

Another thing I’ve found helpful when purchasing from Amazon, is to read the 1, 2 and 3 star reviews. Through that and my own personal experience, I can determine if the review is a true reflection of the product or user error. You would be surprised how many negative reviews are due to user mistakes. I also will google the item and check the reviews that way.

I use my milk frother (received one when I got married) to stir my sugar into my coffee. I then wash it off with hot water and put it back on its stand. The battery lasts forever too. I use it everyday. It helps me not spill like I did occasionally with a spoon.

Ok I feel like most these items are a waste of money. I had the strainer and oil mister, they've been donated. Just being an old lady my grandmother had the Kleenex cover thing, next they'll be selling toilet paper, toaster, cozies again. Sorry just cheap and not buying this stuff again. Lol what's old is new again. ♥️

I’ve wanted either a silk nightcap or a silk lined beanie. I have eczema so I’m pretty minimal with the products I put on my hair. I used a silk pillowcase but I still had frizzy hair! I really think a bonnet would be more beneficial since it actually contains all the long hair! Might give this one a try! I’ll try not to comment every item but I see plenty I’ve either not known about or have considered but haven’t pulled the trigger on yet. By the way, love you both. If you return something to Amazon watch them like a hawk. Not once, but twice when I dropped off returns at UPS they sent charges to my bank instead of refunds. I went nuts all over them. Once is a mistake.....what's twice? They fixed it after me having to call them a million times. Save all your receipts for returns - you will probably need them.

Rachel, here are my frugal hair care tips. First, I embrace the hair God gave me. Second, by asking women who have a style I like and like me embrace the hair God gave them, I find a stylist and see only that stylist--relationships matter and even after moving twice in the last 15 years, I have had only 2 stylists in that amount of time. Third, I buy the shampoo my stylist recommends only from him/her and I use it all up.

Do you think they tend to run long? When I saw them on Amazon before, I thought they wouldn't work for me (5'1" with a short torso), as they looked like they would work best for someone tall or with an average to long size torso. Finding tops that end at the top of my hips is like finding a unicorn! And unfortunately junior sizes are too narrow :(

I hate the scam of turning everything electric to "save the planet". If I wanted to barbeque, mow my lawn, or start a fire when getting home from work on a summer day, and I arrive to see the power is out, I like knowning I can do them for as much as I want to without worrying if my mower or lighter run out of charge.
