Hip Hop is truly a music of all genres, funk is the foundation but there is space for all music in the house. Growing up I listened to a little of everything until about 84ish I narrowed my scope. I still listened to a little bit of rock, pop, top 40. Of course Prince, The Time and Michael Jackson a big influence but it was rap that captured me. One of my sons is really in to music and I love sharing samples with him.
