Ooo yay soo glad you filmed this review! I was interested in the brand because of their personalised journals and semi coated paper which I don't see in a lot for 160gsm journals. Still waiting for them to come out with a B5 size. Anyho going to watch your review now😆

I love bujo reviews, yet sadly I will always be a planner girl, as I simply don't have to to create whole spreads and keep up with them. I'll always love the flexibility of a bujo, but I know that I barely have time for my planner as is (but without it my life would be unproductive chaos)

@@mochibujo depending on the planner, there are quite a few Etsy shops where you can get stickers and printables to change the layout a bit. This year I tried happy planner just because I knew there were tons of customizable stickers. I ordered the hobonichi cousin for next year. It's structured but not too structured, so I hope it lets me be even more creative

I used the Iris from Makers Cabinet! It was a present from my boyfriend, and it's super handy! Quite pricey though, but really high quality :)

Would you u say that the maisie lane journal is better then the archer and olive? (Im thinking about both!)

I think they’re both really good! In the end I think it mostly comes down to personal taste, as the covers are quite different, while the paper is very similar. A&O has a linen/fabric cover, which apparently can get quite dirty (I haven’t experienced it myself yet though, but mine mostly sit in my bookshelf looking pretty🙈), while Maisie Lane Co uses a type of “vegan leather”. It’s definitely not very leathery though, not like the Inprint or Dingbats* vegan leather covers at all. It’s much smoother and softer. So again, personal taste😂 I’ve noticed A&O’s notebooks have improved over time, as I don’t see as much irregularity in the dot grid on the pages now as I did before (I only have one notebook from 2019 and a couple from 2020 to compare though). For these reasons, I have to be a bit diplomatic here and say that I think they’re both really great notebooks!😅💕 Maisie Lane Co is a smaller and newer business though, and what I’ve seen from them so far is very impressive!

They’re quite similar in terms of paper thickness, and although most A&O notebooks have 160 pages, they do have some with 192 pages like the Maisie Lane Co notebook ☺️ Perhaps you like the cover of one of them better than the other?

Dots look too dark and distracting. I prefer a very faint dot. How did you find the dots?

I find the dots pretty similar to my Archer and Olive notebook actually, so pretty standard. If you’re looking for super faint dots, maybe check out Scribble & Dot! I just got one in the mail (I’m doing a review on their notebooks too, in a week or two) and the dots are super faint! I was very surprised, but pleasantly so, because it’s so different from the standard :)
