A lot of people don't want touchscreens and WiFi and all the techy nonsense that, frankly, can just stop functioning. We want knobs you can actually turn. I wish Wolf would make a 36" induction range with knobs. A lot of people would buy it.
@memmis20062 ай бұрын
We bought the SMEG 36" Free standing model about October last year. I wouldn't buy it again. I like how it's safer with the kids around. I like how if the cookware is not detected, it turns off. I wouldn't reinvest in it for the following reasons: 1- hate cooking with it as the center of the pot or pan is always hotter than the sides. 2- The oven is smaller and there is a lot of wasted space under without a warming drawer. 3- The oven features are are not straight forward, hard to operate. 4- The knob is graded 1-9 and it's not until you get to 7 that you get going with the heat. Nothing below that feels like a temperature that is efficient to cook at unless you're leaving the pot to cook slowly. SIDE POINTS: It's not true about the cook top not getting hot, it gets pretty hot. It does require a higher AMP and therefore we had to run a 50 AMP wire from the house control panel and that cost a pretty penny. Running the wire all the way from the garage, to the kitchen (approx 50ft. )

I have my second 36” wolf induction, first one was a disaster and the second one the whole glass gets extremely hot when burners are on mid low, many other little problems as well, none of the burners stay on high, they keep turning off by itself, oven works perfectly the burners are absolute nightmare
@joan44225 ай бұрын
I hope you have asked Wolf to resolve this for you. Even if you replaced the range already, if the replacement is working perfectly, you need another replacement.

6:14 I have always wondered about something... Gaggenau has only single convection ovens but their ovens are considered the best in the game...how do they do the oven game well when with the more basic convection system when others with single convection are seen as a negative like the Thermador here...
@triaxe-mmb8 ай бұрын
I know a wall oven is different from a 36" range but still...the same argument is made about 30" wall ovens too
@YaleAppliance18 ай бұрын
Great question....Gaggenau seems to be built to a different standard. They also have more modes and elements for more even cooking. You can also adjust more precisely to 1 degree
@triaxe-mmb8 ай бұрын
@@YaleAppliance1 I have a follow up question. Been waiting for a gaggenau ovens video to ask but I guess I will do it here - other than size, is there a difference between the 24" and 30" gaggenau ovens in terms of features and performance?
@michaelgodard39982 ай бұрын
Was looking at the thermador but wondering about the burners on the latest wolf models are they square or round? Because when using the bridge function I was wondering if theee would be hotspots on the wolf.
@maz_uwu24 күн бұрын
Man that wolf looks so nice except no knobs. What are these brands thinking? I had a kitchenaid induction and my number one issue with it was the big annoying screen on the top of the range that took up space and was slower and more clunky to use than knobs. We want knobs!!!
@sailormercuryLSR8 ай бұрын
Thank you for talking about the safety of induction. My mother is hardly elderly but she forgets something on the stove at least once a week. She's burned many pots, I even had to ban her from cooking at my house. I've considered fire blankets or even basic fire suppression devices for her kitchen. I'm going to try replacing her gas range with an induction. PS - I LOVE the rankings.

Surprised the GE Cafe 30" slide-in with dual ovens wasn't on this list. Have spoken to a few owners and everyone seems happy, especially with the induction part. The ovens take maybe an extra 15-20 min to heat up. The product line is supposed to be one of the easiest to find service centers for.

Hello there! Love your rating system. Can you *please* tell me where the 30" BlueStar induction range would land on this rating? When will the 48" be coming? Is there going to be a 36" ? I have the F&P Classic 36" Induction Range. The cooktop design and simple features were what got me to buy it. I love the cooktop design, the center element and the flanking bridge-capable large elements. I wish this came in a rangetop. Unfortunately, electronics of the display went fritzy and the little knob broke when the tech was fixing the electronics. Parts take a while. The knobs are a bit uncomfortable to use. The oven is not awesome, things burn and cook unevenly. In my next home, I'll probably bring this range with me and keep enjoying the cooktop - which is truly great. I'll get some wolf or cafe double ovens to supplement. Wish I didn't have to do all that to get the best of both worlds.
