I have purchased Sigeyi for 3 different mtb’s directly from the manufacturer website. I have found quite easy to install , affordable and very reliable.

4iiii offers both left only (less expensive) and dual sided meters. They offer SRAM and some other manufacturer retrofits as well: send in your current crank, and they will retrofit it.

4iiii Factory Installs are also a great affordable option that we offer if you already have a crank that they can service!

I had a Assioma Duo for 3 years and it worked realy well, a reliable product. Unfortunatly I sold them because my latest bike had the 4iiii précision 3 wich doesn't work any more after 3 weeks of use. Tried every thing I red here and there on the Web and from the 4iiii support but nothing worked. Regarding the number of post I find and my proper experience, I think this powemeter has a conception issue. I guess I'll have to get back to the Assioma product, it's a shame....

We're sorry you have had a bad experience with your 4iiii power meter! We have always found their support to be extremely helpful when customers have had issues. If you haven't contacted them directly yet, please let us help. We're always happy to help find a solution to these issues. That said, we’re glad you had a great experience with Favero!

I wish someone would post a dyi gadget. Strain gauges are not hard to mount. Even the circuitry (Wheatstone bridge) is not complicated. But getting it in a readable form is the trick.
@derekkuhlАй бұрын
Reliability and consistency is the key. Even the commercial power meters often struggle with this. You need very high consistency throughout a single ride and from ride to ride. If they vary more than +/-2% they are pretty much worthless and are more a headache than a help.

Is there only one flat pedal pedal that has a power meter? I ride unicycles primarily and would love to know my power output.
@powermetercityАй бұрын
To the best of our knowledge, the SRM X-Power is currently the only flat pedal power meter available. It is great for riders who are looking for an alternative to a clipless system!

What Sigeyi should I get for Ultegra R8100 setup?
@powermetercityАй бұрын
Unfortunately, since Shimano road and gravel cranksets do not have removable spiders, you could run a Sigeyi but would need to order a Sigeyi + ROTOR 24MM crankset which is one of our best-selling power meters, but this is a bit more expensive since you are having to order new cranks too. We often recommend the 4iiii left crank arm or power meter pedals for Shimano road and gravel crankset riders. However the 4iiii will only measure left side power whereas the Sigeyi will measure both.

Sogeyi you say "you cant think of any draw backs" here's one they dont work with shimano road cranks
@powermetercity29 күн бұрын
We did not address this because it is not a downside of Sigeyi power meters, but rather a downside of Shimano cranksets and the way they are built. Because of the way Shimano crank arms interface with chainrings, there is not a way for any spider-based power meter to be mounted. While it is unfortunate that there is not a Sigeyi option for Shimano cranksets, there is not a spider-based power meter from any manufacturer that will work with Shimano. Most riders that use a Shimano groupset order the Sigeyi AXO + ROTOR ALDHU crankset. The ROTOR ALDHU crankset, in addition to being a great crank, comes in a 24 mm spindle which allows you to keep your bottom bracket. Because you are swapping cranksets it does add some cost, but it allows you to swap out your Shimano crank for the spider-based power meter you want.
@Gavos2Base29 күн бұрын
@powermetercity Thanks for breaking that down. I appreciate the time to reply in detail. The video made it sound like anyone could use it, but obviously not.
@powermetercity29 күн бұрын
@@Gavos2Base Happy to help! We should add, a common power meter we sell to customers with a Shimano crankset is Sigeyi ROTOR ALDHU 24MM Power Meter Crankset. This is simply the Sigeyi power meter mounted on a ROTOR crankset. The reason for this is the ROTOR crankset, in addition to being a great crank, uses a 24mm spindle so it's a direct replacement for your Shimano. You can even run your current Shimano chainrings on it. However, we do understand this adds costs as you are having to buy the power meter and a crankset, but again it's really what has to happen for Shimano users that want to add a spider-based power meter.

A really good PM! But just know you can't use it on bikes with T47 bottom brackets. They say you can't use it on BB386, but it works ok on one of my frames with that BB.
@chris1275cc25 күн бұрын
@@stuartdryer1352 It works on most T47's too, it's the way the frame is constructed on some models (TREKs seem to be the biggest offender). If the drive side cup sits flush to the frame it's a no-go, if there is a bit of a stand-off/lip it will work fine. They also say it needs a 43.5mm chain line which would rule out Shimano 12's Di2, but it also works fine, the crank arm comes a little close to the FD, but it never touches.

300 for a power meter is... Quite absurd in my mind like, not only its been years since they been introduced, it seems like no progress has been made, they arent super advanced electronics Its like charging 500+ bucks for electronic group sets when they are glorified rc car components and again, nothing fancy to implement either... Electronics is the cheapest form of technology ever, except in cycling because either the industry think we are stupid or idk
@dquadАй бұрын
Your paying for the RnD time and the calibration time. If you tried to make one for yourself you'd be in a lot more than $300
@James-ot8gtАй бұрын
look at it this way, power meters have stayed $300, not much else has stayed the same price the last 5 years, so really if you look at inflation they've become cheaper
@powermetercityАй бұрын
We agree, $300 is not a small amount of money! But there has bee a phenomenal amount of progression in power meters since they were first introduced. Originally they were over $2,000 and extremely hard to come by. We now have a wide range of options for under $400. As more manufacturers produce power meters, they only get better and more affordable. Happy riding!

Well i have the Garmin Rally RK200 dual and the Vector V3 Dual. For me those pedal are the best and we have more data than the cran power meter. We also have no problem with running out of power because those pedal use battery to replace ( CR1/3N ) and they are good for more than 120h of use!! Like that kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2OpZp-BoKmKm9U
